Night of beginnings

It was a nice night of summer and the Sunny was silent. Everyone were asleep except for Nami, who was working on a map and giving a look around sometimes. While looking around, she saw a very familiar shadow going toward his special spot: it was Luffy. She had never seen him walking in the middle of the night in the opposite way of the kitchen! She closed the map, turned off the light and went to see if he was alright.

He wasnt.

Once she got up there, her breath stopped: he was sobbing. Nami didnt have a clue about why he was crying and didnt know either what to do. She slowly got nearer to him.

«Its been three years three damned years, and I still cry. I know he must be calling me a crybaby now», said Luffy.

I wish I had half of his Observation Haki, Nami thought.

«Ace? Im sure hes not», she said instead.

«Trust me, he sure is», he replied.

Nami sat down near him and stared at her captain: big tears were running down his cheeks, his hair was a mess. She found herself thinking that he was really cute and hot.

«You know, », she said looking at the sea, « I kept crying for Bellemere-san death every night before I met you. I found something that I thought I would have never found again».

«What? », he asked tearing apart the tears.

«Love», whispered Nami.

She stood up quickly and was about to leave when Luffy called her. Nami turned.

«Iumm I just wanted to», he looked at her and then looked down, «to tell you good night».

Nami knew he wanted to say something else. Thats why she took his hand and, when he turned, kissed him. At first, Luffy didnt answer the kiss, but then he replied with passion and getting Nami near to him.

Then, Nami broke the kiss and ran away. She moved without thinking, but, after all, she really liked it. She was wishing for more but how could she even look at him in the eye without feeling Luffy's lips on hers?

Nami couldn't know what they had just created: a strong bond, one of those that doesn't break. It was also secret, but not to everyone: in fact, someone knew about their new "relationship"...
