The next day started out a lot better considering I had practically ignored everyone I met yesterday expect for Julia. The blonde and I talked every time we had a chance in the halls. "Hey Angela" Julia said as she came up to me while I was grabbing a different set of books from my locker. "Oh hey Julia" I gave the girl a soft smile before returning my attention to my locker trying to find my biology book. "Where the hell is my damn book...?" I asked closing my locker and looking at Julia. "Did you happen to leave it in the class room yesterday?" She asked me. I shrugged "I was sure I put it in my bag but then again I was in a hurry trying to get out of this hell hole." Julia laughed "well that's one way to put it" she smiled at me and we walked outside to start our free period. We both had it at the same time which was after Econ for me and chemistry for her, I didn't go to the cafeteria to eat during lunch because I knew that everyone from yesterday would be there, and I was positive that Scott didn't just tell Stiles. As me and Julia walked to a picnic table sitting in the shade I felt eyes on me and I saw Lydia and Malia turn their heads quickly.
Julia turned her head in the direction I was looking and turned back to me with a laugh. "I saw you sitting at lunch with them yesterday. How'd that go?" She asked looking me in the eyes with her big blue ones. "Lydia invited me to go over to her house tomorrow night. She said they were going to watch a movie." I said as I leaned forward and rested my chin in my palms with my elbows on the edge of the table. "You gonna go?" I shrugged an answer, "eh I don't know they just all seem kinda odd and plus I heard those two Stiles and Scott talking about me when I left yesterday." (What? I wasn't going to tell her what I am, don't worry I've gotten pretty good at lying over the past few years so no one figured out my secret.) "Really? What did they say?" She asked looking at me a concerned expression on her face. "I don't know exactly, all I heard was my name a few times and that's about it" (see, I told you I was a good liar.) "Well then why don't you go, maybe they were talking about how freakishly hot you are" she gave me a smirk and wriggled her eyebrows causing me to laugh and I could feel my cheeks turning pink.
"Well then why don't you come with me? I'm sure they won't mind since I'm new and you're really the only other person who I've managed to become friends with." I really wanted her to come and hope she'd take the invite. With a nod she smiled and  agreed to come with me. She peaked down at her watch and stood up quickly, "I'll text you later. I forgot I had to be in the study hall 10 minutes ago. Byeeee!" She shouted the last word as she ran off back towards the school and I was left alone at the table. That was before I was interrupted by the slamming of a book on the table and two boys sitting on either side of me.
I looked down at the book seeing that it was my biology book I was looking for earlier. The boys smiled at me and I looked at the two seeing it was Mason and Liam. I let out a small growl and Liam seemed to notice so he spoke up, "we found your book and thought you might like it back." I turned to look at the younger boy and smelled the familiar scent of a wolf and I could tell he smelled the same on me. "Thanks... Liam right?" I asked and he simply nodded. "Well Liam, thanks for finding my book and returning it. Was there something else you wanted to say to me?" I asked the boy and looked out of the corner of my eye to see Mason tense up. I could tell he didn't want to be there but I kinda figured they had to be best friends so that's why he was there.
Liam looked into my eyes as he spoke "can't wait to see you at Lydia's tomorrow" he smirked slightly before walking off. "Sorry about him" Mason said to me before catching up with his friend. I nodded to the boy and watched as the two walked away and Mason punched Liam in the arm as they walked into the school.

When I got home from school later that day I went up to my room to start on my homework. As I worked on history I sat on my bed blaring All-American Rejects and singing along to the music. I felt my phone vibrate and checked to see who it was.
Julia: you still up for tomorrow night with the others?
Me: yeah, I still have to check with my dad though. But I'm sure he'll say yes.
Julia: great see you tomorrow.
I was getting ready to set my phone down when it buzzed one more time. This time it was my app warning me about the full moon on Saturday. I relaxed slightly seeing I still had some time to gain more control until the moon came out. As I thought about the full moon, memories from 2 years ago one came rushing back to my mind and closed my eyes tight trying to get them to go away. But all I could see was the blood, and the screams were so loud it sounded like I was back there all over again. I was dragged by my thoughts as I heard my dad yelling to me that he was home and he had brought home Chinese.
A smile spread across my face and I ran down the steps into the kitchen. "Did you say Chinese?!" I almost yelled at the top of my lungs. I loved Chinese it was probably my favorite food besides pizza, cause I mean who doesn't like pizza? "Yes sweetie I said Chinese, could you please sit the food on the table?" He asked me as he grabbed some glasses out of a box that was sitting on the counter. I nodded and when I lifted my hand up to open the brown bag that the food was in I saw that my hands were bloody. My dad turned back around to find me starring down at my hands and he frowned. "Sweetie, you've got to find some way to forgot about what happened." His deep voice spoke softly as he ran a wash cloth under the sink water.
"I've tried, but whenever I close my eyes all I can see is the blood..." I spoke in a whisper as he wiped the blood off my hands and pulled me into a hug. "I would say that I understand but I have no idea what your going through, sometimes I really wish your mother was just a regular human but then you wouldn't be you" I looked up into his bright blue eyes and smiled widely before pulling away. "Come on let's eat I'm starving." He nodded and helped me unload the food onto the table and we began eating.
Soon we got into conversations about how the first two days went for both of us. Dad told me that the Sheriff had a son that was a senior at the high school but he couldn't remember his name. He then rambled on about this one guy Parrish who invited him to a poker game tomorrow night and that's when I sprang the question. "Since you're going out tomorrow night can I go over to Lydia's? She's one of the girls I met yesterday and Julia said she would come with me." I gave him a pleasing smile awaiting his answer. "Of course, I think that would be a great idea for you to make new friends" he stated taking a sip of his Pepsi. "Is it just going to be you, Lydia and Julia?" I took a sip of my Root Beer before answering. "Uh I don't know about 10 maybe, something like that. It's just the kids that I had sat at lunch with the past few days nothing major." He raised an eyebrow at the last part and I rolled my eyes. "Dad, I promise it's nothing huge"
He nodded, "okay, okay just have fun then..." he smiled and looked down at his watch. "It's almost 8, I should get ready for bed I have the early shift but I should be back around the same time you get back from school." I nodded as he stood up and cleaned his side of the table off. He came and kissed me on the top of my head before walking down the hall to his room. I cleaned up the table and put the dishes in the dishwasher before heading back upstairs. It was right at eight so I went ahead and put some shorts and a t-shirt on. While I was putting my hair up in a pony tail my phone buzzed and I looked down to see that it was Julia again.
Julia: you good for tomorrow night?
Me: my dad said yes so we're still going. What time should I pick you up?
Julia: idk what time did Lydia say to be over?
Me: Idk exactly, hang on let me text her I got her number yesterday at lunch.
Julia: okay
Text to Lydia: hey it's Angela what time did you want me to be over tomorrow?
5 minutes later-
Lydia: I told everyone else around 7
Me: okay see you then
Julia: she text back?
Me: yeah she said around 7 so I'll be at yours around 6:30?
Julia: sounds good to me
After the conversation I looked up from my phone and walked into the bathroom. I opened a drawer and grabbed my makeup wipes begging to take it all off. When I was done I headed back to my bed and laid down. It was only 8:30 but I could already feel my eyes began to close and before I knew it I was fast asleep.
