HEEEEEEEEEEREEEEEEEEEEE COOOOOOOOOOOMESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS JESSICA!!!

"It wasn't me!" the boy Neutron screamed. Jaina inhaled sharply as she leaped back to her feet, getting her nostrils full of smoke.

"There's a huge fire on the other side of town!" Wally said, back in control of his bright red goggles.

Jaina took control. "Flash, get the boy out of here. The rest of you, with me!"

Wally and his future cousin beat Jaina there, but she could immediately tell why they waited for her. Giant green energy constructs surged forward, attacking the Central City residents who had been seeking shelter from Neutron's attacks only to be driven right into the mouths of these terrifying monsters.

"Kid, what am I looking at?" Jaina asked, barely able to get the words out.

Wally stammered, taking a moment more to recover. "Th-they're giving off the same readings as the stuff you make with your ring, Jay!" He said.

Jaina swallowed, hovering closer to the ground to be able to communicate better with the others. "Well, if they're coming from a Green Lantern ring, there's got to be someone wearing the ring to make them. Let's find out who."

Wally shrieked like a baby and the speedsters all jumped to the side to avoid being hit by a serpentine battering ram.

"You know, Jay, I've never seen you make something like this before!" Wally commented.

Jaina nodded slowly, helping her friend to his feet. "I've never seen creatures like this before. Where did they come from?"

"Simple!" Bart cracked his knuckles cockily, "They're constructs like GL ring, right? and they give off the same energy readings? Then it's obviously a Green Lantern causing all this!"

"But what Green Lantern would do this?" Jaina asked. "Green Lanterns are supposed to protect! Yellow Lanterns are the ones that frighten everyone because their rings feed off the fear that they inspire!"

"Oh." Bart blushed sheepishly.

A scream broke through all other noises, louder than any of the other shouts from before.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!"

Green Lantern swallowed. "Kid, Impulse, clear all the civilians out. If Flash comes back, have him help you. I'm going to find out who this is.

She flew up above the city, watching below as civilians disappeared one by one thanks to Wally and Bart. She spotted a skyscraper apartment building with a smoking hole in the side, and she landed to get a vantage point.

"Huh," She said to herself. Along the wall was a rack of guns, hunting rifles, mostly. Stockpiled around the room was enough food storage to last one person for about two years, and the remains of a year's worth strewn around the room.

Whoever lived there must have been saving for the apocalypse, and from the chaos rampaging around outside, they were right to do so. All around the room, Jaina could sense fear. It pounded against her skull, and threatened to overwhelm her, but it was scared away by her ring.

She stopped in the office, which was secluded and quiet, but she was still fully aware of the terrors that were just outside. One of the guns was on the floor, perhaps having fallen off the rack. Jaina picked up the rifle to examine it, and was hit with a vision. A green comet, not her ring, shot out of the sky and crashed through the window of the apartment's kitchen, possessing the apartment's only occupant: a terrified teenage girl.
