America: You were smiling as you walked back to your house from the grocery store. Why, you might ask? It's all because of a certain American. Yes, you couldn't get this hyperactive friend of yours out of your mind...but the key word is friend, and you don't want to go back to strangers any time soon, which is why you haven't been entirely upfront with your feelings for him. You have a bit of a...crush, you might say, and you were less than happy about it. You don't make friends all that easily, since you're rather awkward, and you don't want to lose one of your closest friends, all because you couldn't keep your mouth shut. You sigh as you unlock the door to your apartment, and stepped in, hands full of shopping bags with assorted foods. Shaking your head, focusing on unpacking the groceries.
England: You groan, turning over in your bed. Reaching up, you grab your phone to check the time, and sigh as you see it is past midnight. For the past few nights, you've been unable to sleep, since you have too many things on your mind. To be more specific, too many thoughts of one specific Englishman. Since you met him at the meeting, you can't seem to keep your mind away from thoughts of him. It's true, you've been spending more time together, and you hope to keep him as a friend...and you can't let silly feelings get in the way of your friendship. You shake your head rather roughly, and turn over yet again, covering your head with a pillow. Thoughts of England plague your everyday life, and you can worry about your friendship later...for now, you need sleep, and desperately, too.
France: You smiled, waving good-bye to your flirtatious friend. As you round the corner from his elegant home, your carefree smile drops, as do your positive thoughts. You are so conflicted in what to do; you seem to like him as more than a friend, and yet, he flirts with everything that moves...except you. So, does that mean he doesn't like you? Or is he just being polite? All this overthinking has given you a constant headache lasting a few days. You groan, rubbing your temples in exasperation and annoyance with yourself. "You're overthinking this, (Y/n)," You mutter, causing a few people to glance at you, obviously wondering if you're crazy. "Maybe I am..." You whisper. This man might just drive you insane.
Canada: "See you later, (Y/N)!" You smile, waving behind you as Canada closes the door to his home. You begin to walk home, shivering in the slight cold. Thinking back to your visit, you sigh, rubbing your hands together quickly. The time spent with your closest friend was well spent, but you wish you two had spent it being...well, more than friends. You shake your head, sighing again. It won't happen, so you had better move on. Anyways, your friendship was far too important to risk, especially for something as silly as a crush.
Russia: "I will walk you home, да?" You nod, knowing it would be unwise to refuse, not to mention that you could use the company and protection. Russia walks alongside you, causing others to quickly step out of your path. You smile, but blush as he puts an arm around you. Looking up at him, you notice he has a soft smile, as usual. You look away, remembering that he means this in a completely platonic way. Once you get home, you hug him.
"Thank you for walking me home, Russia. See you later!" He hugs you back, and then waves as you walk up the pathway, and enter your home. Once you close the door you lean against it, sighing. It's getting more and more difficult to act natural around your crush.
China: "Oh my freaking gosh this is amazing!" China smiles as you stare wide-eyed at the kitchen table, which was covered in all your favorite food. "I am glad you enjoy it, aru! Do you want to sit down and eat with me?" You nod slowly, a faint blush on your cheeks. This...well, it's hard to take it in a friendship sort of way, since it clearly took hours to do. He pulls a chair out for you, and you both begin to dine, your mind distracted by the thought of what he means by this. Why do you always overthink things?
Italy: "Bella! Y/N!" You turn around, and stumble back as Italy latches on to you, smiling widely. You blush, but hug him back, smiling softly. "Yes, Italy?"
"I-a missed you! The world-a meeting was-a so boring!" You laugh, turning to pull him off. "Well, it's over now, so why don't we just go get some ice cream?" He nods eagerly, and kisses your cheek, causing your face to flush red. You'll never get over how your crush acts.
Japan: "Be safe, (Y/n)!" You nod, waving farewell to your friend. Once you get home, you smile, and lean against the door. Your face quickly becomes red, and you throw your hands up, fangirling about your crush. He's so polite, and kind, intelligent, handsome...you could spend hours listing his wonderful qualities, but you have dinner to make. You sigh, happily humming to yourself as you think about Japan. The respectful man seems to have taken over all your thoughts.
Germany: "(Y/n), are jou okay?" Germany's concerned face appeared in front of you. "Jou collapsed vhile running...idiot! Don't push yourself so hard. Vhat vere jou thinking, anyways?!" During the scolding, you sat up, trying to remember why you did that. Oh yeah...you wanted to impress your crush. As you desperately tried to catch up with Germany, you ended up overexerting yourself and passed out. You shake your head, holding Germany's hand as he helped you up from the hard pavement. Why does being around this man cause you to do so many strange and reckless things?
Romano: "Goodbye, (Y/n). And don't-a be an idiot and-a forget your umbrella, it's-a raining outside!" You smile apologetically, grabbing the (f/c) umbrella from your crush. "Thank you, Romano! You're always looking out for me." He grumbles and rolls his eyes. "No, I'm-a just taking the place-a of your-a common sense, since-a you clearly don't-a have any!" You giggle, and wave before walking outside. You suddenly shriek-you had forgotten to open the umbrella*, and you heard Romano shouting behind you. Laughing again, you run to your car, soaking wet. Honestly, without Romano you probably would be in a hospital.
Spain: "See you tomorrow!" Your crush calls behind you. Turning back to wave, you blush as he blows you a kiss. Rolling your eyes, you pretend to catch it, and send one back. He smiles, watching you walk down the street to your home. On the way, you think about your relationship with your friend. You're closer than most people are with their friends, yet it's merely because of his open and loving nature...right? You shake your head, reminding yourself to not overthink things, especially when it comes to him. Spain is much harder to understand than he seems, as you are now finding out when trying to decipher his feelings and actions. Will you ever figure it out?
Prussia: "Aw, just one more hour?" You shake your head, a sad smile on your face. "No, you have to go home. I have studying to do, now shoo!" Prussia laughs his odd laugh. "Zhat rhymed! Please, I'll do anyzhing!" You laugh, and begin pushing him out the door. He sighs a dramatic sigh, and finally steps out. Sighing in relief (and disappointment), you watch him leave. Turning back, you realize all your motivation for studying (or doing anything for that matter) left with your crush. Yes, you have a major crush on the albino. Were you going to act on it? Hell to the no. Not with being so unsure about whether your feelings were reciprocated. Not with knowing that there's a possibility you'll lose this strange yet wonderful friendship you two share.
