Skylar stared out into the distance, imagining the world beyond the wall. Her arms laid upon her shovel as the guy around her worked vicariously. Her eyes glasses over. Lincoln walked up to her quietly, wondering what she was looking at.
"What are you looking at?" Lincoln startled Sky.
"Nothing." Sky picked up her shovel. "What's his problem?" She nodded over at Michael throwing soil bags into a wheel barrel.
"Eh, who knows."
"He's been acting differently for the past few days."
"You never know with him." Lincoln continued his digging. "But probably has to do with Sarah."
"Sarah?"
"Uh yeah, she hasn't been writing in months."
"Is she like a girlfriend?"
"You can say that." Linc chuckled.
"Must be some girl." Sky began digging.
Back at the barracks Sky decided to keep arms way from Michael. He's commonly go through moods once in a while, but this was different. He looked hurt if anything. After an hour Sky met him back at the cell where he was staring at a piece of paper, possibly a picture. He shoved it back into his pocket as she waltzed in.
"Fish," Sky smirked.
"Hey," Michael jumped off the bunk.
"If there was something wrong, you'd tell me right?" Sky walked closer to him.
"I guess." He glanced away from her.
"I consider you a dear friend."
"You do?"
"You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours." She winked playfully.
Then as Sky turned back around to the cell door, Michael grabbed her and turned her around again to face him. His baby blue eyes penetrated her soul.
"You remind me, of somebody I know." Michael glances away from her again and let you of her waist.
"Hey there pretty." T-Bag interrupted. Michael quickly jumped a foot away from Sky. "Good thing I came." T-Bag wrapped his arm around Sky. "If others saw, they'd be talkin'."
