 The sound of raindrops richocheting off the cars metal frame was now starting to grow irritating. Crsytal repeatedly told me the directions towards her house as we drove and I hadn't realized that how far out of my way she lived. I sighed. Growing irritated the longer Is at behind this wheel and more impatient before, stopping the car.

"Just give me the address." I held abc the onslaught of words that I wanted to use. I would've made ehr cry or worse leave. I took a calming breath before smiling and turning towards her.

She looked at me those wide green eyes causing all irritation to leave my face. I quickly shook my head and looked down at her. "Address."

"Fine. 12328 Alma Drive." She finally said before turning to look out the window. I nodded putting the car back into drive. I didn't want to drive her home and honestly didn't want her around but If it meant keeping the secret of the Gifted quiet this is what I had to do.

I ran a hand through my hair as we sat in silence my mind drifitng between this and other things.

"What are you thinking about?"

The question took me by suprise and I looked at her through the corner of my eye. The rest of my mind focusing on the road ahead. "What do you mean?" I asked before seeing her shift slightly in her seat my storm grey eyes seemed to scare most people but she stared as if they fascinated her. As if I fascinated her.

"I mean you can hear everyone else's thoughts, is there anyone who can read your thoughts?" Her eyes gave way to the curiousity that lay beneath the surface. A quizzical look made it's self present.

I sighed. "My mind is private to me. My thoughts, secrets, fears, and such are mine and mine alone. My head is not meant for others to poke around." I answered in the same monotoned voice that I ahd started with. I brushed a piece of my hair behind my ear as we turned onto her street.

"Here it is!" she exclaimed after a few moments. I slammed the breaks and shot a death glare at her. Her smile softened the expression a bit but it still held it's intensity. I parallel parked the car before climbing out of the vehicle and walked voer to her side.

My hood stayed up concealing my eyes and such my bare arms visible in the sleaveless trench coat I wore. I felt the cold rain run down my skin, smiling faintly at her as I opened the door and held a hand out for her. "Thank you." her face flushed a red color.

"Whatever."I added with a a dramatic sighed. She complained about the how cold and wet it was before running up the cobblestone steps to a brick walk way. I walked as if my feet glided across the ground. She fumbled around for her keys and grunted ebfore kicking the door.

"It's locked and I don't have my keys." She pouted.

I flared my nostrils in irritation and pushed her to the side with ym hand. I tapped the doorknob and sent a wave through it that unlocked the mechanism. Seconds later the door swung open slowly to reveal a rather hipster looking Living room.

A love seat sat with it's abck to the door and walkway with a cheetah print cover laying over top of it. Lamps shaped like Soda bottles and tables that resembled what looked like game consoles. I shook my head.

"It's livable." I used the term loosely as I straightened my face and listened as she disappeared down the hall towards her bedroom. After a few counts I heard the door shut and another door open. I shrugged.

                                                                                        ~~~~~~~~~~~
I had fallen alseep only to be awoke thirty mintues later by the high shrill voice.
"I'm ready!" she sounded and I glared. i saw what looked like a duffel bag in one hand and a small suitcase in the other.
"What the hell is all of this?" I asked her with a confused look and she smirked before walking towards the door. I held up a hand and a barrier apepared halting her progression."Answer my question."
"Well I thout I'd stay with you. Learn more about your people and such." I shook my head and looked at her. My eyes narrowed as she keppt trying to walk through the barrier.
" No No No. Last night was a one time thing. I never said anything about coming to stay with me." I shook my head and rubbed my temples. A glare of compelte loathing locked onto her.
"Fine then I'll just go tell everyone about your people." She went to grab the phone and I blasted it off the reciever.
"Let's go." I muttered and walked with her towards the car. I snapped my fingers ebfore the lock door shut and locked.
