Chapter 1

Emma's POV

My head is pounding and I'm ready to loose it. I only just moved to London from Australia and I'm suffering big time from jetlag.

The only thing on my mind right now is sleep. I'm staying with family friend Cassidy until I buy myself an apartment.

-an hour later-

I wake up to Cassidy shaking my shoulders ferociously. "Cass what?" I snap and she snickers, "I invited some friends over for dinner"

I slowly get out of bed and make my way over to my suitcase I'm going to be living in for awhile.

I make my way downstairs, a scent so disgusting fills my nostrils and I gag.

I peer into the kitchen where Cassidy was cooking. There was smoke everywhere and burnt bits of food come flying out of the oven.

I was about to say something when the doorbell rang, "Em! Can you answer the door!" She yells like I'm still upstairs.

I answer the door and a tall figure steps through the doorway. I can't quite make out his face but he has curly hair kind of pulled back on the top, I wait for him to say something before I stutter and embarrass myself.
