Sabrina Carpenter as Terri
"What the hell Terri?" Tears streamed down my cheeks. "You are fucking 16! What were you doing?" A knot formed in my throat. "Mom-"
"No. Don't call me that." I shook with tears, and ran from the house upset and afraid.
"Tell me you're joking." George paced back and forth across the floor. I shook my head, and his expression turned angry. "Who were you cheating on me with?" My eyes widened. "N-nobody! I swear!" The hatred in his eyes scared me. "Get the fuck out of my house! You're disgusting." He shoved me out the door, and I stood on the stoop. I sat down on the porch in despair. An upstairs window opened. "Get off my porch you slut!" My heart broke in two as I scrambled to my feet, and stumbled off the porch, tripping on my feet.
I had nowhere to turn. Nowhere to go. Well, I had one place. "Dad?" I knocked timidly on the door. It swung open. The man standing in front of  it smiled at me. "Hey Ter. Mad at your mother?" His voice changed when he said "your mother" ever since the divorce, they were not able to talk about each other. I nodded, and he motioned me inside. "You can stay with me for a little, until it blows over. Just text her to let her know." I nodded, and texted mom staying with dad. I could tell she read it, but there was no response. I walked into the tiny kitchen. "Wanna talk about what's going on?" Asked Dad. I shook my head, and he seemed to understand.
"You will have to sleep on the sofa. Is that okay?" I nodded, and lay on the sofa. I could hear dad in the bedroom.
"Hello?"
"Oh hello, Mr. Greenwood."
"What?"
"You're firing me?"
"I've worked her for three years"
"Yes. I understand"
"Yes."
"Okay"
"Goodnight to you too."
I could hear him sigh deeply, and the broken pieces of my heart hurt. The job hadn't even payed him well. He was living in an apartment with three rooms, hardly enough food to eat, in the nasty part of town. I closed my eyes. What an awful day.
