John Economou as George
"Yeah Chelsea." My best friend grimaced. "How did George take it?" I frowned, feeling my eyes sting as I thought about yesterday. "He... um... called me a slut and asked who I was cheating with." Her face tightened. "The little... do you want me to fix his ugly ass face? Preferably with a hammer?" I gave a weak smile. "Um... no, it's okay. I just don't know what to do with the baby." Chelsea chewed her lip. "Adoption?" She suggested. I shrugged. "I guess."
"Hello?" The lady at the counter smiled at me. "Hello honey! Can I help you?" I smiled back. "Yeah, I was wondering if you could put an unborn child up for adoption." Her eyes widened. "Oh, yes, of course. Name?"
"Terri Ronald"
"Address?"
"476 James place" Her expression turned sympathetic as I put down my dads address.
"And in how long will the baby be born?"
"I've known for about a week"
"Okay. That's all we need to know for now. We will let you know if somebody is interested in your child." I nodded at her. "Thank you." She smiled at me again. "No problem honey."
I walked out of the adoption center. Everything looked dull and grey. Just like my life.
I walked down the street, my arms wrapped around myself, the cool air blowing my hair off my neck. And then it began to rain. I mean really rain. And the rain started the tears. I kept walking slowly, tears running down my cheeks, strangers glancing my way. I didn't care.
