Everything Eric does infuriate me. I happen to know him from a year now, he never acted this way. And the scene he twisted inside the office, how he humiliated me in front of girls. His foolish stunts are going to the peak. I can no longer take this anymore. I’ve given my life in studies, the only way I can make my family stable and he just wrecks my reputation like if I am a whore and it wouldn’t matter to me. I could feel my tears rushing down on my cheeks when Eric opened the ladies bathroom door. Oh no, he cannot see me breaking like this. I scanned up in the mirror and saw him standing behind me, his hand still on door’s knob, holding the door open. His expressions are I don’t know what, maybe less than the poker face or nearly equal to that. He tried coming towards me but I pushed the water tap off, turned around and warned him.

“STOP, what else do you want? Are you here to look at your so called bitch crying? Not satisfied yet huh?” I kind of screamed, weeping and sobbing bitterly.

“I am sorry Rose; I didn’t know you would take it seriously. I am so sorry. I’ll go talk to the dean myself.” His voice was very kind and apologizing. But his sorry cannot change all the moments he has embarrassed me. Now I am stuck with him and the prom nightmare and if I don’t go and do it, I would get suspended.

“Leave me alone. Do this please.” I begged. I don’t know what has got into me but I can no longer control my sentiments no matter how hard I am trying to shut myself down. So, I decided to end this by saying straight pointed words.

Eric closed the door; he was still holding it open. But no one fortunately saw us. His eyes stared right into my eyes, as if searching what I am not saying. Having him looking and coming towards me with such intensity scared me. But his face doesn’t look like he is going to do something wrong.  He surely was expecting me to fire back but I remained quiet instead until he finally reached. My gaze shifted down to the floor, avoiding my eye contact with him. I heard sound of his lips opening open.

“I think I am falling for you.” He whispered, standing so close to me that I could feel his shaky nervous breaths. I immediately lifted up my eyes, unbelievingly. He is right here, still staring at me. His eyes show somewhat uncertainty, confusion or something like … like honesty.

The door cracked open, I almost jumped up to see and found Cora, in her short pink skirt, glaring at us both. Oh no. Eric pulled back himself from me and watched Cora. I thought he would feel guilty to find his ex-girlfriend catching us red-handed but he gave me the last sincere look, finger combed his hair and left.

“Making out? I must mention it’s a perfect place.” Cora winked at me and turned around & played her exit role.

She will tell everyone. Not good, not good.  Urghhhhhh!!!!!!
