Ethan's P.O.V
I groan in pain from my head, I squint my eyes trying to focus them, once they do all I see is Dillion through the windshield, I'm froze my eyes grow wide but I can't seem to move
I let out a chocked sob and cut the seatbelt and pray open the car door and pull Dillion off the hood of the car and kneel on the pavement, I'm holding his limp body in my arms, her arms hanging at the sides of her body, her head tilted back, her legs looking like they have no muscle or bones in them and her face all cut and scratched
I examined her body more and hold her too my chest, I scream and cry even harder, I heard sirens and I thank god that they were called, I didn't even think about calling them, Dillion was the only one on my mind
I hear tyres screeching and two men jump out of the truck behind me, they run towards us with a gurney, lift her up and roll her into the back, they told me I could drive with them since I don't have a car to drive
They discovered her heart was not beating so they pull out the paddles and put some kind of gel on it, rub them together and yell clear
I lift my hand away from her limp one and she jolts upward, silent tears roll down my face as I watch her, at least she's not in any pain, but sure as hell will be after this
They got her heart beating again and I grab her hand once more, I just stare at her cut up face and place my hand on her forehead then slide it along the top of her head and rub small circles on her hair
We reach the hospital and three doctors run towards us and one pulls me aside and tell me to wait in the waiting room, that they need to do surgery right away
I decided to call Gray and he rushed over to the hospital, he ran on the doors and ran to me and engulfed me in a tight hug
We sat back down and waited for as long as we needed too
The past 4 hours were the most unbearable 4 hours I've ever spent in my life
"Family of Dillion Ronney" I hear someone call, with out thinking a jump up at her name
"You are the boyfriend, correct" he said pointing his pen at me
"Y-Yeah" I say more as a question then a statement
How the hell did he know that, for all he knew i could've been her brother or something
"Ok, right this way, let me remind you, she's in a bad state so prepare yourself" he said patting my back and walking me too a room, he left and I just stood there, am I ready to see Dillion in such a horrible state, she needs me, alright here goes nothing
I take a beep breath and twist the handle, I slowly open the door and see the one think I never wanted to see, Dillion hooked up too many different machines, IVs in her arm and a breathing tube down her throat
My heart sank at the sight, I sit in the chair right beside her bed and grab her hand, I run small circles on the back of her hand with my thumb
"I love you" I say barely audible
I sit there for the next hour just staring at her, as tears roll down my cheeks not letting my crys out just yet
It reached 12 am, I'm definitely not in a good enough state to go back to school so I'm calling it a personal problem, which it is so I'm not lying
"Hello, I won't be able to make it for the next few weeks, you can just send me my assignments, notes and test through my email" I said before the lady on the other end could answer
"And who's speaking" she said sweetly
"Ethan. Ethan Dolan" i said dully
"Ok, I'll tell your professor" she said
"Thanks" i said hanging up and staring back at Dillion
My poor baby has to go through this, she doesn't deserve this, she has no family, he dad is just a dick with too much alcohol in his system to even function and her poor mother died a year ago
I don't want to worry my mom or dad, they don't need to fly to la, so she just has me and Gray
"Wake up soon" I whisper again and with that I let out a sod so loud her doctor burst in the room
"Oh, I'm sorry" he said walking out and closing the door
"Baby, please stay strong, fight this" I say kissing her knuckles
I lay my head down and place my cheek on her hand and fall asleep
(6 am)
I went to our dorm to get my computer, Grayson's in the room with her now keeping an eye on her, I call an uber and he drives me to the hospital
I thank and pay him, I walk in and towards her room, I haven't said anything to anyone, only whispering things to Dillion, hoping she can hear me
Grayson is asleep in the other chair, saving the one by her bed for me
I open my computer and start to do work, read over my notes and do a test that was given yesterday
It was just about medicine, easy enough, funny I'm in a hospital doing work to become a doctor, well lot that funny but it feels weird
Once I'm done of my work Grayson had to leave since he had classes, he's become a business man (idk what he's taking to become, I just made that up 😂)
I wave and he leaves, I once again grab Dillion's limp cold hand and kiss it, I turn on the tv on her favourite tv show, crazy enough it's greys anatomy, it's a rerun but apparently she loves reruns
I don't mind her favourite shows, I don't have any so what ever she watches I watch
It's been close to 7 hours and I'm still in the uncomfortable ass chair, my back is killing me and my head is pounding
A nurse came in to take some test
"Could I have some Advil by any chance" I ask her
"Sure honey" she said and walks out
A couple minutes later she came back with some water and an Advil
"Thanks" I told her and she left
I take the Advil and chug down some water
Dr. Cooke then came in and told me that they have seen some brain activity, which is good news, she's slowly waking up from her coma
I thank him and turn back to Dillion
"I love you and I miss your beautiful voice don't get me started on our laugh and smile, let's just say they will be the death of me" i say kissing her forehead and rest my head now on her thigh
"I hope you wake up soon" I said before falling sleep

"Hope you wake up soon" he said before I hear his adorable snores
