- Mom? - Emma arrives home after french class - Mom? Are you here? - She walks around the apartment a little. The kitchen is empty, so is the bathroom. She checks the last room and finds Rachel sleeping profoundly even though the alarm went off about an hour ago. Emma frowns. - Mom!

- What? What? - Rachel wakes up scared - Jesus, Emma you scared me. What's going on?
- Mom, is eleven thirty, don't you have a wedding to go to?
- We have a wedding to go to... you're going too.
- Mom, I hate weddings! Weddings are just a pathetic excuse for people to live together after promising to love each other for e-freaking-ver... it's sad, don't you think?
- Yeah, huh! Tell that to your father. - Rachel rubs her eyes while yawning "What a cliché, Rachel!" - Please, just choose a dress to wear and get on with it. It's just one night.

Emma rolls her eyes while walking out of the room.

- Emma?
- Okay, mom, I'll get ready.
- Hey, where's your father?
- How should I know? I left before dawn for french class.

Rachel gets out of bed and grabs her cellphone. Yes, there's a message from Ross. "Ben called, went to pick him up at her mother's. I'll be back around 12". Great, she has to manage Emma's attitude all by herself. "She's only 15, for God's sake, why did she suddenly got all rebellious and angry?"

Rachel opens the blinds and looks for a nice dress to wear for Ben's wedding. She's tired, of course; she didn't sleep well having to listen to Ross all night complain about her ex and the little decision-making privilege he had for this event. But Rachel certainly agrees with Carol that Ross has poor taste for this kind of events. You'd think that with all the "getting married" experience he's had he'll evolved his taste but it has only gotten worst.

Finally she finds a black dress she loves, and all of the sudden she can hear Ross saying "It's not a funeral, Rachel, you shouldn't wear black to a wedding". Rachel scoffs. "Well, Ross, I happen to like how my butt looks in this dress, so I don't care, I'll wear it". Rachel laughs at her own thoughts as she realizes Emma probably got her stubborn attitude from her.

Ross arrives at ten to twelve to the apartment. Rachel is taking a shower so he walks into their room to get his tuxedo ready. As he enters the room he sees Rachel intended dress on the bed.
- Really, Rachel? Black? - Ross yells to Rachel.
- Oh, shut the hell up! My ass looks great on that dress. You'll thank me later.
