My name is Iroh, retired General Iroh. I was born in the fire nation with one brother after a couple years. The fire nation was a beautiful place. But my father wanted me to be the best for the fire nation. Me and my brother were complete opposites. And also soon after I became Fire Lord I found the love of my life. Sooner or later we had a child. He wanted to become a soldier and sooner or later he became one.
Ba Sing Se
I had plans to conquer Ba Sing Se but tragic happened. When we broke the outer wall of Ba Sing Se, my son was killed. Ba Sing Se was beautiful but declaring war was a big mistake.
Family
After what happened at Ba Sing Se I came home and planned to live at the fire nation and spend my life there. My brother had two children, Princess Azula and Prince Zuko. Soon, my father died and my brother Ozai was declared the new fire Lord. I always had a strong connection with my nephew and I got along swimmingly. My niece?...... not so much.
The Bannishment
When Zuko was 13 he wanted to go into the war room to learn more about being fire lord. One of the generals said "we should use our new recruits as bait so we can strike with a surprise attack". Zuko spoke out of term and the general was furious at Zuko. So the general challenged him to an agni-kai and Zuko accepted. Zuko expected to fight the general but speaking out of term in the Fire lords war room he dishonored the Fire lord. He had to duel his own father. Zuko refused to fight his father so he got the beating of his life. His own father burned him right in his left eye. I looked away so I don't have to see Zuko in great pain. Fire Lord Ozai said "You've brought dishonor to the family name, and for your punishment you will travel around the world to find the avatar and bring him to the fire nation and gain your honor back, and until then you are banished from the fire nation".
