I finally had to go out. I avoided the public best I could but it was hard when Mike had agreed to do a press conferences and he wanted me there. It would be okay, just a quick press release. The important thing is don't lose it out there.
"Mr Galindo, how do you take Vic Fuentes's death?" The first question I was asked.
"I've been avoiding the topic, but it definitely shakes me. Vic was like a brother and it was way too early for him as well as Danielle Victoria. I was very close to both of them. It was too early for both them," I tried to answer without much emotion.
"Brendon Galindo, my name is Maria Von Wright for Alternative Press," a woman approached me after the conference.
"Yes," I said, I kept walking.
"Rumor has it that Pierce the Veil will be disbanding. Can you confirm this rumor?" She asked me.
"Pierce the Veil is currently off the grid and we're unsure of the future. For the sake of the band itself and in Vic's memory, we will remain a band but on the music side of things we won't be touring or producing anything anytime soon. I doubt there will be any news for Pierce the Veil until we return which may be a few months, it may be a year before we put ourselves back out there."
"Also one more question, you were a friend of Mitch Lucker's when he passed away, how different are your feelings comparing Mitch and Vic?"
"Mitch was a friend which his death was shaking but Vic is definitely different as Vic was like an older brother to me."
"Thank you, Mr Galindo, if you ever need someone at Alternative Press, just give me a call," she handed me a card with her number on it. "I understand what you're going through, I lost my brother seven years ago and it takes a long time to accept it. But stay strong, Brendon."
"Thank you, Maria," I said.
