Skylar's POV

It was lunch time, yet the school was already buzzing about the new students. Weres from every pack that attend the academy were groped together talking about the Nightshades. To say they were shocked was an understatement. A few Nightshade goes to Wolfram since they own some land in our territory. Their lunch table was given a wide berth, no one wanted to upset them. Not only were they the ruling pack but they were also known to be merciless and powerful, each member was trained to be the best. There were currently only twelve, now fourteen, Nightshades in the school. What was even mor shocking to the Weres was the fact that Liam and Luna carried the Nightshade's name, only the alpha and his family are granted the pack's name. Everyone knew that the Nightshade's Alphas doesn't have any family nor a mate.

So how come Liam and Luna's surname is Nightshade?

I sat with others from my pack, a few tables away from the Nighteshade's. They appeared calm amd composed, yet there was know doubt they knew what everyone was saying. All of them were known as bad asses, even the teachers knew not to mess with them. Looking at them, you would think that they were rebels, even the girls. Even though they were a extremely good looking and fit, they give off that vibe that screams "DONT MESS WITH ME!". Needless to say, everyone kept their distance beside the vampires and a few humans.

The cafeteria doors opened and the cafeteria went quiet. I looked up to see that the cause was none other than Angelique, with Liam and Luna right behind her. Instead of sitting with the rest of the Nightshades, after grabbing some food, they headed over to a table occupied by vampires. They didn't pay any attention to the whispers and just sat down with the vampires, who didn't look surprised at all. Their leader, Camillia, hugged Angelique and Luna, while Liam only got a wave. There was a commotion as the Nightshades got up and headed toward their table. They all stopped in front of Luna and Liam and respectfully bowed their heads before filling in empty spaces around the table. They acted like nothing was wrong and just chat among themselves. Angelique was talking to Camillia, and every once in a while she would laugh. I noticed that everyone seems to smile when she does. Looking at my pack, I knew they also have the same reaction. Even my wolf seem to be happy and content. Suddenly, I heard arguments and saw the daughter of another pack's alpha talking to Angelique. Brittany, I think that's her name, was the Bluemoon pack's alpha's daughter. She was, without a doubt, a spoiled bitch. Right now she appeared to be yelling at Angelique, completely oblivious to the angry faces of the vampires and the Nightshades around her. Angelique, however, appeared to be calm and almost bored as she replied back to whatever Brittany was saying. All of a sudden Brittany shrieked.

"YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL THAT I EVEN WANTED TO TALK TO YOU, BITCH!"

SNAP!

Brittany screamed as she fell back, clutching her nose. Luna towered over her, her face was murderous. Every Vampire and Nighshade were at their feet glaring at Brittany, as her look alike minions slowly backed away. Angelique looked unruffled as Luna stalked towards Brittany, silent and deadly as she moved forward. She bent down to eye level and snarled at her.

"How dare you talk to her like that, you ignorant pup! You should be grateful that I did not kill you for that remark. Next time you show such disrespect, I won't stop at just breaking your nose"

Her voice radiated with power.

Brittany just sat on the floor shaking in fear. Luna looked like she was entertaining the thought of murder when Angelique interrupted.
