Bain's POV
"You heard me?" I asked with a confused expression. How could she have heard me?
"Yes I did. Did you mean it?" She asked while looking down at her feet. Why wouldn't I have meant it? I mean look at her!
"Of course I did. You are beautiful Bella" I told her while lifting her chin up so I could look at her in the eyes. "But is that the reason you've been ignoring me?" I asked her seriously. She nodded her head yes. I can't believe it!
"I didn't know if I should've come to you and told you I overheard you or not talk to you and pretend I never heard it. I'm so sorry Bain." Tears started to fall down her face and I wiped them away with my thumb. I'm such a douche for making her cry.
"I didn't mean to make you cry Bella. Please don't cry." I pleaded, I didn't want her to cry over me or cry because of me.
"I'm sorry. I must look like an idiot right now." She ended with a laugh while wiping her tears away.
"You'll never look like an idiot Bella. Ever." I said truthfully because I doubt that this beautiful girl in front of me could ever look like an idiot, maybe silly but never an idiot.
"Sure. I'm sorry for yelling at you at school." She said, her eyes held guilt and sadness in them. It made my heart hurt because I never wanted her to look at me like that. I can't believe I'm saying this after two weeks of knowing her but it's true, I didn't want her to hate me, cry because of me, or feel sadness because of me.
"Bella don't be sorry. You just didn't know how to talk to me about what you heard me say. Don't ever be sorry because of that." I held her face in my hands. Dang her skin is so soft. She is so beautiful.
"Your skin is so soft Bella." My eyes widen. Crap. "Did I say that out loud?" I ended with a nervous laugh.
"Yes, you did. Thank you." She said while looking down. I made her blush!
"Bella, are you blushing?" I asked even though I already knew her answer.
"Shut up!" She whined. It was adorable, she was adorable. Then the worst thing possible that could've happened, happened, her phone started ringing. Ugh!
"Sapphire?" She asked, it was one of her friends, of course. Her eyes widened at whatever her friend just said. "I'll be right there." She hung up the phone and looked at me. "Can you take me to Sapphire's house? It's an emergency." She asked mumbling a little. This was serious.
"Of course. Come on." I said while taking out my keys and jogging to my truck. Bella followed me silently.
"Thank you Bain." She said quietly.
"No problem." I turned my truck on and reversed. We made it to Sapphire's after 10 minutes of Bella telling me directions. She got out of my truck and ran to the front door and yelled back and told me to come inside. So I did.
"Bella?" I called out because I had no clue where she went.
"Up here Bain!" She called from upstairs. I walked up the stairs and saw a bedroom door open so I guess that it was Sapphire's and I was right. I walked in to Sapphire crying and Bella comforting her.
"Bain, can you hand me those tissues?" Sapphire asked me while sobbing. I quickly grabbed them and handed them to her.
"Sapphire, what's wrong?" I asked concerned.
"My...my horse died!!" She sobbed harder and her voice broke.
"It's okay, Sapphire don't cry please!" Bella pleaded with her best friend.
"But he was my favorite!" She cried harder.
"I'm sorry Sapphire." I said sincerely.
"Thank you Bain." She gave me a weak smile
After about an hour later I drove Bella back to her house so she could get clothes and then I took her back to Sapphire's because she was staying overnight with her. After saying goodbye to both the girls I left. That night I thought about Bella and that's how I went to sleep. Thinking about her eyes, her soft skin, her smile, her curves, the way she talks and how whenever we touched it sent sparks through my body. She is amazing and I've only known her for 2 weeks.
