The Killer Duo

Chapter 7- Explanaitions

Jane almost lost her mouth the second she learned of who the Slenderman really was. Did she and Jeff hear him right? That he was the guardian of the flower? He didn't look like he could be guardian material but the young killers didn't dare question the supernatural creatures position. Besides, they didn't want to anger him like last time in that battle.

"This has to be a joke..." Jane whispered, not believing a word that was said as she placed her hands on the sides of her head and shook it from side to side.

"I do not play games, young lady," Slenderman said in a calm manner. "What you and your boyfriend are hearing is true. Absolutely no strings attached like you thought to be possible."

"Then give me a good reason why I should believe you!" Jane questioned as she narrowed her black eyes in disbelief. "And Jeff is definitely not my boyfriend, he is just a boy who is going to teach me how to kill people."

"If you don't believe that you have the power of night and anything else that happens in the dark, then how did you avoid being caught by the teenagers after when they murdered your parents?" Slenderman asked, receiving a surprised expression from the girl. Before she began to protest, he spoke again. "You thought that they disappeared after when they escaped from your house? Well, after when you were unconscious, before the ambulance found you and took you to the hospital, Randy and his gang had being searching for you right by that tree. But the problem for them was that they could not find you, no matter how many times they call for the flowers power to reveal itself to them. You were protected by that flowers power, and it certainly is dwelling within you."

Jane was speechless as she remembered back to the time when her parents threw her out of that window to save her from being abducted by those boys. Jeff's voice broke her away from her memories. "So how can you explain why I am not dead? Am I immortal or something?"

"It seems as if the flowers power also favors you as well to protect it from those who seek to use it for evil." Slenderman told him, studying the boys injury. Jane took her chance to look at his injury as well, and boy was it a gruesome sight to see. If any person was impaled in the gut, Jeff's was a very good impersonation of that, his white sweatshirt was soaked with blood. "My best guess was that it has a bigger use for you and Jane to do good in the world here. Basically you are considered untouchable by death, Jeff, just like how you have unlimited strength and you know how to disappear and reappear at will and you are as fast as lightning."

Jeff looked down on his injury, rubbing on his sore spot as he winced in pain. "That explains a lot." Jane went over to him as she attempted to check on his terrible wound, however Jeff shooed her wandering hands away from him. "I am fine. I am use to this." For Jeff, he had been through worse than being impaled by a tree. Being burned alive by that chemical and alcohol was one, his eyelids were burned off and his mouth was cut open to make a smile, he also suffered with a few cuts from the knives he was practicing with, and he did not forget about the battle wounds he got from his fight with Randy and his goons.

"Are you sure Jeff?" Jane asked, a little bit concerned. Jeff nods, silently telling her that he was sure.

"If you still don't believe that you have the Nightshades power, why don't you try to see for yourself. I am sure you can figure something to unleash that power." Slenderman said as he began to fade away into the darkness of the forest. "There are others like me who will help you in your journey. So be warned if you bump into them on your search."

"Hold on! You haven't told us how you know about Randy and the others!" Jeff yelled, making the supernatural creature stop in his tracks.

"All I know about them is that they were once normal teenage boys who now have a huge debt to pay to their society for disrupting the peace. Ever since then, they stole precious items, kill people who get in their way, and strive for their youth to remain unchanged for millions of years." Slenderman told. "But also you two have to be very careful with them. Those boys will do anything to get to the girl who protects the Nightshades power. You need to guard that powerful force from those boys." Slenderman then disappeared back to who knows where in the forest as he left Jane and Jeff alone in the woods.
