When I open the door to my second-period class, art history , I only see two open seats; the one next to the new boy, and the one next to Chelsi. I imminently start towards him. Chelsi has been in school with me since freshmen year of highschool; ...I have been getting picked on and shoved around since. So no thank you.

I walk up to him and lightly tap his shoulder. He turns his head; when he sees me his expression is hard to read. At first, he seemed mad, then confused, then annoyed, then, completely blank.

"So sorry to bother you, but this was the only place I could sit without getting a black eye," I state, nodding my head Chelsi's way.

His eyes follow me and he smirks for half a second; "Yea, I've noticed she's a pain."

"Oh?"

"Yeah." He glares her way then looks at me before turning back to his notebook. "Guessing you wanna sit?" he asks.

I smile. "If you wouldn't mind, as I said, I'd rather not go home black and blue." He gives me a quick glance, and I realize that's what he's wearing... I wonder if I offended him....

"It's fine, as long as you're quiet." He states plainly.

He watches me as I sit and shove my backpack under the desk. I glance at him as I put all 4 of my history books, then shove them into the far corner of my desk so that I don't distract his drawings; Which did I mention are pretty good? He looks at the stack of books and his eyes widen as I pop one open to the chapter I was reading earlier.

"Please to god," I jerk my head to see him, "don't tell me I am missing books."

I laugh a bit; push my glasses up and shake my head, "Nope."

I look back at the book. He doesn't finish what he's doing he just sits there staring.

"So," he murmurs; gesturing to the stack on my desk.

I roll my eyes a bit. "I am supposed to be in an accelerated program for most of my subjects but I wanted to stay with my friends, so I'm going through my courses regularly. These books are the history books I would have access to next year. And then the other two are that same as yours."

"Ah, makes sense," he goes back to drawing.

I look at him, shutting my book. I might as well chit chat and make a new friend before he decides to hate everyone at WHU. I start inspecting his drawing. There is an impeccable starry night with a blood red moon pushed against it. The crimson popping against the swirls of blue, purple, black and silver. Beneath the beautiful night sky was two wolves. One standing proud and tall against the moon, howling. The one he was currently drawing lay peacefully on the ground.

"Have you met Jake Green yet?"

He looks at me, "Maybe, not sure, I've met a lot of people today." I could hear the question in his tone.

I roll my eyes at him, "He dresses very similar to you, blond hair, muscular, dark clothing, black nails, he wears an amulet most days."

"Ohhhhh, yeah!" he chirp's out. His sudden reaction makes me jump, "We were old... childhood friends, I just know him as something different. I'm going to have to talk to him about that actually; where can I find him after the class?"

I look at the boy, his sudden enthusiasm sent me into a bit of a shock, I'm coming back around though. "Um, I'll take you to see him before lunch, what's your 4th hour?"

He looks at the desk - faces completely blank, "Marine Biology, you?"

"Marine Biology! Cool! Yep, I'll definitely show you the way."

"You know him well?"

I look down at the desk, I let my hands graze over the desk, "I only have two friends, and he's one of them, so yea?"

"Only two? You just move?" He grabs his water bottle from his backpack and sips it while I blankly state my answer.

"Nope. Lived here since I was born." He seems to choke on what liquid was remaining in his mouth.

I look into his wide eyes. He calms himself down after about 3 seconds and puts the bottle back, "What happened to them all?"

I nod towards Chelsi again, "Showed up in high-school." I smile, "Life's been hell since."

"Jesus."

"Yeah, Lettie says she's a witch but, the paranormal don't exist," He gives me and odd look, that weird one with too many feelings in it to determine what it means, "I mean, being a scientist and stuff I don't believe in that mess." I decide to change the subject; "So you're new right? I don't think I've ever seen you around."

He goes back to the picture; shading the edge of the moon out with black. "I move around a lot, that or I get reprimanded so much because the teachers drive me nuts and my sister drags me off before I can cause any more trouble. I just never seem to find enough schools in one city to stay put, so we moved here."

I feel like I'm not getting the whole story. Before I can say anything the teacher comes in; I sneak one last question. "Do you have a name?"

His mouth curls into a sly smile, "Everyone has a name."

I almost laugh. "Okay, what's yours?"

"Andrew."

"Eveanna."

He puts the finished picture in the back of my textbook; "Nice to meet you Eveanna."

I don't know why but I get butterflies in my stomach when he says my name, when he looks at me.
