Can't Protect Everyone

   Third person
    
       Everyone was getting ready for the supply run.
 
    Clem was getting her knife, and pistol.
 
    Gabe was getting his pistol.

    Javi was getting his Crowbar, and gun.

     Kate was getting extra ammo for the group.

     Mari was getting her headphones.

     Tripp was in the van waiting for them.
 
    "You guys ready?" Javi

    "Yeah." Everybody said
         10 minutes later

       "We get gas, and maybe some supplies and we will be done, easy." Tripp said.
    "Don't let your guard down,"Clem said "just in case."
 
   Clem walked farther into the junkyard. Gabe went with her.

   "Gabe come back here, I don't want you to get hurt." Kate said.
    "He'll be ok, Kate" Javi said while putting his hand on Kate's shoulder.
   "If you guys find a candy bar, can you give it to me?" Mari said while smiling.
      "Sure, if only you give me half." Javi said, smiling.
 
    Clem pov
       I was walking alone until I heard footsteps behind me. It was Gabe.
   "Hi Clem"
     "Oh hi"
   "So, are we like boyfriend and girlfriend now or...." Gabe said
    "I guess we are cause we did do it." I said blushing.
   "Hey look, there's a ladder, maybe we should check it out." Gabe said while pointing at a ladder.
   "Yeah, we should."

    We climbed up the ladder and saw a truck.
   "This might have some gas." I said.
  "Yeah we should go tell the others." Gabe said.
      "Not yet there is a path way to an opening."

   We walked there the lath and saw a trailer, I opened it and saw pudding, and a bed.
    Gabe ran to the pudding, and gave one to me.
  "Here." He said
     "No you could ke-"
"Clem just take it."
     "Fine." I said while putting it in my bag.
   Everybody else came in.
      "Oh My Gosh, PUDDING!" Mari yelled.
  "Mari keep it down." Javi said.
      After about 10 minutes of getting the supplies we were walking back to the truck.
  "Mari were is your music player?" Kate asked.
     "I must have dropped it when I was getting out of the van." Mari said.

    We got to the van, Mari saw her music player and ran to it, and picked it up, then all of a sudden she got shot in the head.
 
   "Mari." Gabe said
 
   We all took cover.

  "You stole from us, and now you have to pay." One of the man yelled.
 
     I took out my gun and shot one man. Gabe did to.

   "Javi can't leave her like this!" Kate said. She tried to run to Mari but got shot in the side of her stomach.
 
   "No!" Javi yelled.
 
  Gabe was about to get up but I stopped him.
    "No, Gabe you might get shoot to."
  "Ok, fine." Gabe said with a frown.
"Javi get Kate, me and Gabe will cover you." I yelled.

     Javi ran to Kate. He picked up Mari and carried her over to where Tripp was hiding.
  We all grouped up there.
    "Javi we have to go, Now." Tripp said.
  "She just..."
   "I know Javi, but if we stay here longer things will get messy, and Kate needs a doctor now." Tripp said.
  "I say we finish it now, cause if don't kill them now, they might be after us later." I said.
    "No I'm going with Tripp, im sorry Clem, but I have to, come on Gab-"
  "No, I'm staying with Clem."
     "No Gabe I can't lose anyone else, please." Javi said.
  "Go Javi, ill be ok."

     After Javi and the others left. Me and Gabe were shooting at the people.

    I killed 3 of them and Gabe shoot 2 of them.
 
   Then one of the men through a smoke bomb.

   Gave ran to me, and covered me with his body.

  I blacked out for a little bit.
    When I looked up, the people that was shooting at us were gone.
  Gabe was still on top of me. He was still unconscious. I tried to wake him up but he didn't wake up.

     I walked over to an open area with dirt and dug her a grave.
  When I walked in the junkyard again I saw Gabe wake up. I ran to him and gave him a hug.

  "Are you ok?" He asked.
    "I should be asking you that." I said
He looked over to Mari's body, and walked to it.
  "I dug a grave for her." I said.
      "Thanks."
 
   Gabe pov
       I picked Mari's body and walked over to the grave. I put her down.
    I grabbed th shovel.
      "You know you saved my life back there, if you weren't there I probably would have been died." Clem said while hugging me from behind.
  "I could never leave you." I said.
     I grabbed the shovel and started to fill the grave.
   "I'm so sorry that I was an Asshole to you, I should have treated you better, I'm sorry that I wasn't the best big brother I could be, you deserve so much more." I started crying.
  Clem hugged me from behind.
     "We should head back." She said.
     "Ok"
    They left one of their cars, we were going to go in the car, but we heard a walker, Clem got out her knife and stabbed it. It had a symbol on its neck. I look at Clem, and she looked scared.
  
    "Are you ok?" I asked her.
    "Yeah, its just that I know this group." Clem said
   "What, who are they?" I asked.
   "They call them self The New Frontier." Clem said.
  "How do you know them?"
  "I was their prisoner for a little bit." Clem Said while looking down.
   "Well we should get back then." I said.
 
      10 minutes later
         We ran into Prescott, and saw that Kate was laying down. I ran to her.
   "Is she ok?" I asked
  "Well, she is not doing so well, she is bleeding inside, but we could look for more supplies for her or a group to help her." Eleanor said.
    "Thanks, I guess."

    I saw that Tripp was signaling me to come to him. I walked to him.
"We have an a room with a bed, I was wondering if you and Clem wanted to share the room." Tripp said.
  "Yeah we could share it, Thanks."
    I walked to the room me and Clem were sharing, Clem was in there but she was crying.
   I went up to her and hugged her. We stayed like this for about 5 minutes until I broke the silence.
 
  "Whats wrong?" I asked still hugging her.
   "Its the New Frontier." Clem said
  "What did they do to you?"
  "They took someone very special away from me, those monster took my little Goofball." Clem said while crying.
   "Im so sorry." I said.
"We should get some sleep now." Clem said.

   Clem got in the bed and I did to. She hugged me and stuffed her face into my chest.
  "Ill always be here for you Clem, Always." I said.
     "I know you will."

   We fell asleep, cuddling.
