I was the first one up and it was only 6 a.m. Hazel and Olivia were in dead sleep. Staying up past midnight did that to a person. My being the nicest friend in the world decided to run to the store and get eggs and bacon. Hazel woke up immediately to the smell. Olivia hated bacon so it toke some time to lure her out of bed. After we ate, showered, and dressed it was half past nine. Classes didn't start till ten so we caught up with the summers events. Hazel's boyfriend since high school got major sunburn. And Olivia had a summer fling with some girl named Sasha.
My first class was math. Hazel was in my class so we carpooled. Olivia was in a band class. My teacher droned on and on with his review of quadratic equations. Hazel doodled on her notebook. Afterwards we needed to meet up at the cafe. Olivia had ordered for us, donuts and coffee. Her band class was as boring as our math class. That was when a cute guy looked my way. Yes, I mean Toby. He was in a grey v-neck and jeans. I looked away before he could catch my eye. Hazel and Olivia caught on. My embarrassment was noticeable because I turned into a tomato. Hazel was looking him up and down. Olivia was stalking him on facebook and instagram. As he walked out we knew his birthday, relationship status, and a bunch of girls he used to date.
Thank god he didn't notice me. That could have killed my good mood. Hazel had some chemistry class. Olivia had a math class. I had my own artistic class. After I gave Hazel a ride I went to the art building. It stood out the most. It was an antique in a store of new barbies. My teacher was awesome. The class was great. No review needed we just painted our mood. Nothing stood out to me. Trees were my favorite thing so I drew that. This was my new favorite class.
My phone blared with text from Olivia. They were all about how their was a cute girl in her class. I told Olivia go for it. Then I went to get Hazel and Panera. Olivia was at the house waiting for food. "FOOD!" She screamed in her usually loud voice. We ate our soup and bread. It was the loudest dinner I've ever had. Voice overlapped voice. They were so excited about college. School toke all my energy. I was grateful that we all got into Columbia University in New York City. I did miss our hometown of San Diego, California.
Feeling sick, I went to bed early. That often happens so my friends understood. I toke my medicine (just an inhaler) and then fell asleep.
