My suitcase thumped against the trunk as I hit a bump in the road. I was shaking with anxiety and excitement. I was a couple miles away from the college. My dorm was shared with my two best friends, Olivia and Hazel. They were total weirdos but I still loved them with all my heart. Our first year at college was going to be great, especially since we were together. Frat parties were the one thing I looked forward to.
It was dark out when I got to the campus. Lights shined like their was stars everywhere. After signing in with administration, I drove toward the dorms.
The building were small and they made a circle around a small park and parking lot in the middle. When I got to my dorm I knew I would be alone for the night. Olivia was on vacation and Hazel was having car troubles. Our furniture was already here, as well as the stuff we ordered online. The small house had three rooms the size of a closet. It was two stories with all the rooms upstairs. Then it was a small living room, kitchen, and bathroom.
The drive was three days long so I was pretty tired. I had only two rest stops along the way. The bed was like a feather. After my head hit the pillow my eyes closed in a dead sleep.
*********
I woke up and put on sweats and a baggy T-shirt. Unpacking was my main goal today. After about two boxes I was very tired. (I know I'm very lazy!) The cafe was open so I decided to go try it out. Upon arriving I ordered a bagel and coffee.
The college kids were very intimidating. I was kinda nervous to be there all by myself. I got on my phone so it seemed like I wasn't lonely. I was so focused I didn't realise that a cute guy had sat in the seat across from me. He cleared his throat as I jumped.
"I'm sorry!" He said as he chuckled.
"Oh my gosh I didn't realise you were there!" My cheeks burned with embarrassment.
"I just thought you were pretty." He said blushing.
Obviously I was confused. This was the first time I ever really talked to a guy before. I didn't even realise I was blushing. Dang, I didn't realise a lot of things today.
"Your even cuter when your blushing!" He said.
"Um. Actually I have to go unpack... Sorry." I said getting up.
"No wait! I didn't get your number."
"I barley know you..." Gosh this was weird.
"That's the point silly." He said giving me an award winning smile.
I wrote my number on the napkin and left as quick as I could. I blushed in the car the entire way to my dorm.
