Replacement: Chapter Two
I craned my neck to the left, eyeing Harrison. I was kinda pissed at him now, interrupting whatever was going to happen to me and this brand new guy.
"Do I need to repeat myself? Who. The. Hell. Are. You?" Harrison barked, sorta causing a scene. I squirmed out of the way, uncomfortable. I was holding my books, and mouthing 'sorry' to the new guy. I couldn't peel my eyes off of him, though. He was so hot.
So why was he mad about it? I mean, he probably noticed his sexiness, but I don't think he would be jealous. Harrison was pretty attractive, too.
"Dude, chill. I'm Braden." He said in response, very calmly. I already liked him--he knew how to handle a pissy Harrison.
"Nice to meet you, Braden." I cut in before Harrison could say another rude thing. "I'm Savanna, but most people call me Sav."
Beside me, Harrison was rolling his eyes. Whatever.
"Great, catch you later, Savanna. Oh, and bye, gladiator." He muttered toward Harrison.
I placed a firm palm on Harrison's back to start pushing him away, scared of his reaction.
"Hey man, once you've got a girl like Sav, you can talk to me like that. But until then, learn to keep your mouth shut." Rolling his eyes, Harrison determinedly placed his arm across my shoulders and flashed a fake grin toward Braden.
"He's just kidding, Braden!" I insisted, barely uncomfortable under Harrison's touch. What can I say? He makes me nervous.
Harrison placed a firm hand under my chin and lifted it up to angle his face. He brought his lips to my cheek and immediately I felt a lightning of energy rush through me. I felt my teeth clench in order to keep in my gasp. I wanted more.
"I'll see you next period."
"Oh, okay, yeah." I muttered back.
That had never happened to me before. Ever. Well, not with him at least.
With my backpack now clinging to one shoulder, I headed toward first period: English Honors. Since I was a senior, I only had three periods left: English first, then PE, last lunch. I always found it incredibly lame that I had to stay in school for lunch when most seniors left campus for Panda Express or whatever their addiction is. Mine is Taco B's.
But, I came to the conclusion that they make us stay because we need a certain amount of hours and they most likely get more money off of that.
My body was tingling. Why couldn't I have 'accidentally' glanced into his direction and pressed my lips to his? And what does this mean? Does this mean I like h--
Oh shit.
In my English class there are rows down the room and there are two desks beside each other in each row. My assigned seat was way in the back thank god, but now I saw Braden and he was sitting right next to my seat. He had a lazy grin plastered on his face and his gorgeous eyes were staring into mine.
"Fuck, fuck, fuckity, fuck."
I suddenly felt a firm grasp on my left shoulder and then felt breath slip past my ear--then smelt the fowl stench coming from the persons mouth.
"Miss Leam, would you like to explain to the class why you felt the need to let out all of that provocative language? And did I mention that you'll need to do it from the front of the class? Just so everyone can hear you, of course."
I felt the heat rush to my cheeks, as my pale skin lit up.
"Oh, uh, sure Mr. Bruce." Mr. Bruce used to be Ms. Bruce, so even when he tried, his voice still had a small lacking of manly authority. But it still scared the shit out of me--the fact that I was in trouble. I never like getting in trouble.
