I slipped the fishhook earring with a little pink heart at the bottom into my first lobe piercing and then followed it up by two more small diamond studs for the second and third ones. I knew Seokjin was already here, I could hear him conversing with my mom downstairs about some chick flick that they both enjoyed. And because of that, I was taking my sweet time. I didn't want to hear about their show or hear my mother scolding me telling me to be more like him.
I didn't disagree with her though. I don't know who wouldn't want to be like Seokjin. He was legitimately perfect. He could cook, sing, was funny as hell, and plus, he was the most gorgeous human being I've ever come in contact with. Even just hanging around with him made me feel a little self conscious sometimes.
"Y/N is upstairs, right?" I heard Jin ask my mother from the bottom of the stairs.
"Of course. Where else would she be?" My mother rudely stated.
"Hey! I heard that Ma!" I shouted before grabbing my phone and wallet and tucking them into my pocket.
"I'm telling the truth, Y/N. The only time you go out is with Jin. When he's busy you sit at home and watch that one zombie show and eat ice cream waiting for him to come back. Don't lie."
My mouth hung open at the exposure that this woman just did to me.
Jin bursted out laughing.
I rolled my eyes and hoped that Jin wouldn't notice my flushed cheeks.
"Whatever." I huffed. "Let's go Jin."
I walked down the stairs and pulled him by his wrist.
"Have fun babies! Stay safe." My mother yelled after us.
"We will, Mrs. Y/L/N!" Jin screamed back.
Once we were both outside, I let go of his wrist and walked to his red car. His car was red only because he couldn't find a pink one.
"It's hot out, huh, Y/N." Jin conversed, walking around the car, unlocking it.
"Yeah, it is. It's in the evening, it shouldn't be this hot."
The car door clicked and we both slid in without another word. Things stayed quiet for a while before Jin turned off the radio, making it completely silent besides the whirring from the car and the low hum of the engine.
"So you really watch The Walking Dead and wait for me to text you, Y/N?" Jin asked with a smirk.
I kissed my teeth.
"Shut up." I whined.
My pleads causes him to laugh.
"What would I do without you Y/N?"
"You'd live a very sad life."
"Well, you're not wrong." He replied with a smile.
I rolled my eyes playfully and smiled back.
"I love you,~" he said in a singsong voice. "But I love your mother more."
I rolled my eyes because I knew it was true. Seokjin and my mom were practically best friends.
"I love me too." I returned.
"Y/N,"
"Fine. I love you Kim Seokjin."
"Woah," he said, surprised.
"What?" I asked, turning to him in my seat a little.
"We're using full names, are we?"
"You aren't because I know you forgot my middle name. We've been best friends for how long now? And you still don't remember my middle name." I said in a fake hurt voice.
Jin kissed his teeth.
"Just shut up and love me Y/N."
And for the rest of the car ride to the new restaurant he wanted to try, we were smiling and going back and forth with new conversations.
