I'm Not Who You Think I Am

Chapter 6

Liam’s P.O.V:

This school is so weird. I have to do a play that is based on something I am living. I guess it will help me figure out how to deal with this. I look around to see Scarlett walk out of the drama department, hands in her pockets thinking about something. “Hey Scarlett!” I shout so she can hear me. She looks around trying to find the person calling her name. “Over here.” I shout again waving and jumping up and down. She finally spots me and walks in my direction.

“Hey Leeroy, what's up?” She says giving me a hug. Have I ever said that she smells good. Really Liam snap out of it, no relationships!

“Nothing really, deciding what I should do since I have a free period. The other lads have class right now.”

“Oh, I have a free period also. Wanna go grab a coffee or something?” She asks, getting nervous about something.

“Sure, I guess. I have nothing better to do.”

“I know this really good coffee shop. Their caramel mochas are the best.” I laugh at her. We walk to the coffee shop, talking about things here and there. But no full on conversations. As we enter the shop, many people greet Scarlett. When we reach the front counter, Scarlett orders her caramel mocha and some wierd other pastry and coffee for me. “That will be 15.67, please.” The cashier says. As Scarlett looks for her money, I quickly slap down a 20 dollar bill causing Scarlett to gasp. “Thank you, 4.33 is your change. Your coffee and pastry will be out in a couple of minutes. You guys can choose a table and I will bring it over.” Scarlett walks over to a table and sits down.

“Leeroy, you didn’t have to do that.” She says.

“But, I wanted to. Don’t worry about it.”

“Fine, then next time I will pay for it.”

“Who says there is going to be a next time?” I say joking around.

“So, I guess there won’t be a next time.” she says figuring out that I was joking. We both laugh at our attempt to keep a serious face. We continue to talk about random things, actually enjoying ourselves. As we walk back to campus Scarlett thanks me. “Thank you for everything Leeroy. I actually enjoyed myself.”

“Again, don’t worry about it. I also enjoyed myself.” We continue to talk about random things. Talking mostly about my family and sometimes bringing up hers. I found out a lot about her. Mostly things that I found useful and maybe helpful for future references. I walk her to her dorm, earning another hug from her. “Thanks again for today Leeroy. And as I said I will pay next time.” I laugh.

“If I don’t beat you to it, again.” she laughs going into her room. I walk back to my room, thinking about what a good day I had today.
