First Day Of School

He smiled at me and waited for the bus with me. I felt myself blush and he asked me what my name was.

"Brook. What about you?" I said

"Matthew. Are you new here?" he said

"Yeah. I moved here over the weekend." I answered

"Oh, well I can help you around the school if you want." he said

"Okay. Thanks!" I said

The bus came and we both got on. I sat in the front because I didn't know anyone. He sat in the back and I could feel people's eyes staring at me. Like I was some kind of alien. I didn't like it. When we arrived at school, I found my way around easily. I got lost a few times but I did alright. I liked the new school. It was different. I didn't make any friends and I wasn't surprised. When school was over, I hopped on the bus and went home. I walked home with Matt and we didn't really talk. We went our separate ways and that was it for the day. When I got home, I went straight upstairs and blared my music. My mom was home and already yelling at me. No matter what I do, I can't do it right. I just ignored her and fell asleep thinking of that cute boy named Matt.
