Both her and Nox slipped into their new suit, grabbed their weapons and headed down to the first level of the castle. Maids ran in every direction and soldiers gathered at the front gate.

"Your Majesties, what are you doing? You must leave now!" One of the guards yelled at them. When the twins didn't move, he tried pushing them back. Mira bared her teeth as Nox stood in front of her.

"This is our kingdom and we will fight for it," Nox said to the guard.

"Children, come with me now!" Their mother said as she appeared from around the corner. Without hesitation, they followed her. They walked through the ballroom and dinning room. Their mothers dark hair flowed behind her as the approached a tapestry of their family. It was old. Mira tried to hold back a tear as he looked at Rowan strong and determined face."Nox, give me your sword." Their mother asked. Nox drew his sword and handed it to her. As she turned, the sliced right down the middle of the tapestry. Mira screamed in disgust for what her mother had just done, but the queen dismissed her as she started pressing against the marble wall.

"Mother, what are you doing? There's nothing there," Nox screamed at her, but she held up her hand to shut him up. Her hand brushed an almost impossible to see button and the marble receded to reveal a door war. It was a secret tunnel. Their mother handed them a bag and shuffled them inside.

"Quickly, you don't have much time. There's food in the bag and a few other provisions that will last a couple of days. Use it wisely. You have to follow this tunnel and when it splits in three tunnels, choose the right one, it will lead you deep into the jungle. When you get there, find the Wind Whistler, he will help you. Listen, you both have extraordinary power. You two might just be the only ones to defeat Zarron. You must leave now, before it's too late!" Nothing she said made sense to Mira. All she knew was that her mother pushed them both into the tunnel, kissed them goodbye and sealed the door. With their fae eyes, they could see in the darkness, but neither of them wanted to move forward. Mira couldn't help it as a sob escaped her mouth. Nox was quick to pull her into his embrace. Before she knew it, he was leading her through the tunnel. When her feet refused to move, Nox swept her up and carried her.

They walked to what seem hours, until they reached the three tunnels. As their mother said, they took the tunnel that veered to the right. They continued walking until they hear the faint sound of birds and the breeze started kissing their cheeks. When they finally reached the surface, it was dark and the stars were shinning. Both of them were exhausted. They walked as far as they could until they could walk another step. Going through their mothers pack, Nox pulled out a small blanket and a bread roll for each of them. Mira gulped hers down but would risk eating another. They set the blanket on flat ground and lay next to each other.

"What do you think happened to the ones that stayed behind?" Mira asked Nox. He didn't answer her question, just stared at the stars."Nox? Please talk to me," she pleaded with him.

"I don't know what happened to them," he sighed."All I know is that they're probably dead." Mira looked at him in shock. How could he say that?

"What's our next move then, now that you're in doom and gloom mood," she asked him, staring into his deep blue eyes.

"Well, we do what mother said. Find the Wind Whistler."
