The day had begun like most Saturday's. I woke up half past ten and walked downstairs, finding my dad in the living room on the couch watching TV with Benji by his side.

I let out a yawn as I walked over to the pantry inside the kitchen and grabbed the box of cereal. I then proceeded to the cabinet where I grabbed myself a bowl and then took the milk out of the fridge. Lazily I poured the cereal in the bowl and the milk afterwards, before heading to the living room with my dad.

"What are you watching?" I question.

"House Hunters," he replies.

I can't help but roll my eyes. Ever since he started watching that show he has begun to think he is some architect or something. Each time I come over something from the house is different.

"Fun," I reply sarcastically before taking out my phone and checking my messages.

"What are you up to today?" dad questions.

"Homecoming is today," I reply as I text back Nat.

"Oh really? Why didn't you remind me?"

"Its not that big of a deal."

"Its homecoming."

"So?" I ask.

"So it's obviously important."

"Okay dad."

"So who are you going with?" He asks.

"What?"

"Are you going with someone?"

"Oh," I say shrug, "Yeah I guess."

"You guess?"

"Yeah."

"So who is it?"

I let out a groan.

"Really dad?"

"Yes really."

"Some guy."

"Name?"

"His name isn't important," I reply annoyed.

"Yes it is. And if he expects you to go with him he better come and get you."

"What? No. We had agreed to meet at school."
