Rachel POV

"Wake up, Sweetie.. It's already 7:30 in the morning. Your Honor's Assembly will be starting at 8:00." Mom said while waking me up.
"Your breakfast is ready downstairs." Then she go downstairs waiting for me.

I immediately wake up upon hearing what mom had said. I looked up at the clock near the curtains. It was 7:30 in the morning. I go to the bathroom to freshen up. I slept late last night because of my favorite late night show...
After freshening, I go downstairs at the dining room to eat my breakfast.

"I told you to sleep early, Rachel." Mom said while making herself early to go with me at my school's recognition day.

"Mom.." I was about to speak but mom interrupted me.
"I guessed you watched your favorite late night show last night. Am I right?" Mom questioned me with her right eyebrow raised.
"Yes mom but.." Mom interrupted me again.
"No excuses. Finish your breakfast honey, time's been ticking.." Mom said. Making her bag ready at the livingroom.

I finished my breakfast faster than I could. I go upstairs to take a bath and I put on my clothes immediately.
I hurriedly ran downstairs at the garage when I saw mom waiting for me inside our car.

Mom stop by the school's gates.
"Wait for me. I'm just gonna park our car at the parking lot." Mom said while hugging me and she kissed me.
"I'm will wait for you here." I said while mom waved her hand inside the car. While waiting for mom, I remembered dad. I didn't saw him at the house.

When mom has returned back, we walk inside the school campus going to the school's gym. Where we celebrate assemblies.
"Mom,I didn't saw Dad a while ago. Where is He?"
I asked mom while walking through the path going to the school's gym.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you a while ago. He has an important meeting today at our company."
Mom said while feeling worried.
"Is there something any problem or issues in our company?" I asked mom worried too.
"It's none of your business Rachel. Just focus on your studies." Mom replied worriedly.
We reached the gym. The program has started. We're 10 minutes late but thanks God's we are not that super late. I'm sad Dad is not here with us.

"For the first honor we have Rachel Aina Gomez!"
Our teacher being the host said happily.
I walked going to the stage with my mom happily.
Our principal gave the medal to my mother and I let her put the medal on me.

"I'm happy you maintained your grades and it got higher than the last grading! ( 3rd grading)" Mom said while driving proudly. Smiling at me. "I'll do anything to make you and Dad proud. To pay your hard works at our company. But Dad was not here" I said sadly looking at mom. "Don't worry at your Dad. You will see him later." Mom said making me feel ok.
"Do you want to eat at the restaurant?" Mom asked me making me happy and forget about Dad. "Sure, Mom!" I said happily and excited to eat.

We arrive the house.
"Mom,I felt tired. I want to take a nap." I said tiredly. "Go ahead up to your room. Get some sleep." Mom said while parking the car at the garage. I go upstairs to my room. I changed my clothes and I take a nap.

I wake up and it's evening I saw a gift beside me.
There's a card above it. "Congratulations my Dear Rachel. Sorry if I was not there with you a while ago.
Love:Daddy"
I hurriedly ran downstairs. There sit Daddy with Mommy watching Romance movie. I ran and Hugged daddy. "You totally missed your daddy huh?."Mom said laughing while watching us. "I missed you,Rachel" Daddy said while hugging me.
"I missed you too Daddy!"
I said while hugging him tightly. Then someone suddenly knocks on the gate.
