In the Dark

Chapter 9

As we arrive at the new house, we wait for Ariona, Liam and Sarah. Ariona pulls up after about 2 minutes, so it wasn’t that bad of a wait. Soon after, Liam and Sarah pull up. Louis unlocks the door, and we all step inside. We hear a chorus of “Wow”s and “Oh my gosh”es. 

“It’s amazing guys. Breathtaking, actually” Liam says. 

“I really like it. I can picture small parties of just us around here” Harry says. We show them the backyard and we just lounge around. 

“When are you going to start moving in?” Sarah asked. 

Louis and I look at each other, and he says “Well, we will start moving in ASAP, but we won’t actually move in until after the tour is over”. 

We hang out here for a little bit, then get ready for the show tonight. We get picked up by Paul to get to the show on time today, and run a dress rehearsal. As the band members enter the stage, the crowd is already screaming “ONE DIRECTION!!!!!! ONE DIRECTION!!!!”  We begin playing and the crowd goes crazy. They begin jumping and some of them are shaking.... 

It feels like we’ve been living in fast-forward

Another moment passing by. 

As the boys enter the stage, I can see some girls in the front row crying. Wow. 

I don’t feel like boring you with concert details, so I’ll skip that whole mess. 

After the show, the boys have a signing to do. I stand behind Louis during the signing and wait for them. I’m not really paying attention, but then Louis gets my attention. “Mel, come here” 

I step forward, and one of the girls asks for my autograph. “I love you so much! I subscribed to you on YouTube when you first started your channel! Your voice is amazing” she tells me as I sign a CD for her. 

“Aw thank you. So do you have any ideas for me for new songs to cover?” I ask her, trying to be polite. 

“Yeah, you should do Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus. That would sound amazing with your vocal range!” 

“I’ll look into it!” 

The boys sign everyone’s CD’s and we go home. Tomorrow is when we start the “Worldwide” part of the tour. We go to multiple countries, and we will be on a bus for about 3-4 months. I guess the good news is that we will be in Cleveland around my birthday, so I don’t need to worry about seeing family around then! 

I begin packing clothes for the tour tonight, and I get interrupted by Louis. 

“Hey babe- Oh lord. What happened to our room? It looks like the closet threw up then a tornado came through” 

“Oh shut up! I’m packing for tomorrow... Something you should do too!” 

“True.... But you what sounds more fun?” He comes up and puts his arms around me. 

“What’s that Tommo?” 

“Well, we could take a shower together-”

“Not happening yet. Sorry bub” cheeky boy. 

“Fine. We could.... go glow bowling!!” 

“OOOH!! I’VE NEVER DONE THAT. WE ARE GOING!” While I get sweats on, he calls the boys and invites them. 

“Zayn’s the only one not going. We can go whenever you’re ready” 

We head to alley, and get the lane all set up. They must never close or something, because there’s quite a few people here- Luckily no fans.
