- I was lying in my bed texting one of my best friends Jenna until I heard the front door slam , but there were no sound of anyone I got worried so I set my phone aside and tipped toed into the hallway trying to listen , but still not hearing anything I snuck my way downstairs then it was just my aggravating brother Ty I walked up behind him closing the fridge he turned around face to face with me .
"Geez Reign , don't be sneaking up on me like that "
"You scared me first " he nodded and kept drinking his orange juice , "How you feelin ?"
"Ok... I guess why when you took off you never came back ? Now your gonna have daddy so stressed than he already should be and we can't afford to lose our last parent because of the stupid things you do that WE have to pay the cost for" I said all that in one breath so I had to grab a glass of water
"Wow Reign I didn't know you felt like that" he said scratching the back of his head , "You know I'm sorry I should've been the one they shot not mom"
"No one should've gotten shot and no one would've if you'd just listen for once and leave these damn streets alone !" He got up coming close to me which caused me to back up "Would you stop ! Okay ? I know how your feeling right now and you wanna take up all your anger on me , but it's just not today I'm so sick of you , mom , dad everyone else tellin me to leave these streets alone tellin me what's best for me but this shit ain't that easy y'all don't get it no one gets it nor me so stay outta my business I don't need any help or advice from you or anybody else ! Just because your the little princess perfect an all doesn't mean anyone else couldn't make any mistakes " He yelled at me storming into his room when he slammed his door my heart dropped I just stood there thinking about what he said then the door opened again and that's when I heard Caden and everyone else "Yo Reign" Zach said coming up to me an smiling , but his smile slowly went away when he saw my face "what's wrong ?"
" I just miss mom that's all" I couldn't hold my tears in anymore they just came out and he pulled me into a hug my dad walked in and saw us he patted my back "It's gonna get better baby girl" .
Dinner ....
It was super quiet it usually isn't because mom gets everyone talking she was really an amazing person and you could never stay mad at her , but tonight just wasn't cutting it for me I finished eating then I grabbed Caden giving him his bath and got him ready for bed I laid him in his bed and kissed his forehead "sweet dreams "
I walked into McKenzie's room and she was getting into bed "Goodnight Ken doll "
"Reign ?"
"Yes " I said walking into her room
"How did mommy die"
"McKenzie I thought you already knew"
"Daddy wouldn't tell me anything"
"He's probably waiting on the right time to tell you so I can't say anything now get some sleep love you " I hugged her closing her door softly going back to my room I heard my dad and Ty going back at it again I sighed going into my room and falling straight to sleep .
2 months later ....
I laughed shaking my head "Girl you crazy" , "How you ain't get no dick yet and I hella surprised " I sipped my juice like a child "Maybe because there's different things on my mind other than boys" she looked at me "Like what ??" , "Money" she laughed "True that , but you too pretty not to even have a boyfriend"
"Jenna , boys are too much drama and especially to much drama cos I got three brothers " , "And I got a bratty ass lil cousin that helps" I shook my head cos she's so silly then someone interrupted us wit a really fine voice that made both of us look up "Aye" it was a boy in the car with other different guys I didn't recognize they must not be around here I thought "How may we help you ?" Jenna asked smiling "We needa get to Tate's party where she stay ?" Me n Jenna looked at each other Tate was one of the spoiled rich girls at my school "She live up the street jus keep goin straight" I told them "Thanks ma" he smiled " no problem " "Y'all gon be at the party?" Another one of them asked "We're not sure who's asking" Jenna said going up to the car talking to them I just sat my self down here waiting She and the guy who talked to us first looked at me and went back to talking then they drove off she came back on the steps sitting next to me "What was that all about ?"
"Well the guy in the backseat got my number n the guy in the front seat his name was August and he was like "your friend don't speak?" And I was like "she do but jus not to you" he smiled then we looked at you then he said "Well she needa come to the party tonight so I could get to know her" so we're going " , "Jenna I'm not sure if I wanna go"
"Girl were going idc"
"Fine " I said rolling my eyes and we went back into her house .
She drove me home and I got ready while I was doing my makeup Zach and Ty walked in laying on my bed eating w.e I deep sighed "Where u goin lookin like that ?" Ty asked "(laughing) she tryna get all prettied up for some guy I bet" Zach said still laughing Ty laughed along "Would you two please leave my room and I'm most definitely not getting ready for ANY guy "
"Then wait I hope your not going to that party Reign" Ty said getting all serious "Well I am thankyou " , "No Reign I agree with Ty on this one niggas from the west and east comin up here it's pose to be hella lit , but Ty got beef wit niggas everywhere like damn"
"(Sucks teeth) man shut up . Reign you not going cos you my sister and they already don't fuck with me anymore that's why Zach not going either"
"Oh my God ! I don't freaking care okay ? Damn just because I'm related to you two dimwits doesn't mean I can't go anywhere an Idc if you have any beef with anyone it's not with me now get outta my way my friends are here "
"Aight don't listen " Zach said warning me I rolled my eyes because I didn't have anytime for their nonsense I walked out to Alexis car and got in where I was greeted by all four of my best-friends.
