I sat in gym watching as Bella tried her hardest to stay away from the volleyball but luck wasn't with her today she flails at the ball as it nears her but instead it flies across the court and hits a basketball player in the head I laughed before getting up and going over there as a girl formally known as Jessica squeezes between them wow possessive much?

"She's got a great spike doesn't she?"the girl says this day couldn't get any worse

"So you're from Arizona right? Aren't people supposed to be tan down there?"she asked I folded my arms opening my mouth to speak but Bella hits my arm shaking her head

"That's why they kicked me out"Bella jokes Mike laughs and because he does she does this is pathetic

The next day I sat at a table by myself I didn't wanna get involve myself with Bella's friends when I get a phone call I answered it

"Yeah?"I asked her

"Why are you sitting at a table by yourself?"she asked me I could see her glancing back at me laughing slightly

"Just studying"I said closing the book

"You never study you absolutely hate it"she says laughing I laughed too

"I can change if I wanted to Bella"I said she looks back at me

"Yeah except you won't"she says I laughed

"Yeah you're right"I said She stops placing the phone down talking to one of her friends I opened my book

"What're you reading?"I heard a new voice ask I looked up

"Dracula"I said tucking some hair behind my ear

"Nice that's a bit dark don't you think?"he asked

"No not really"I said shaking my head I furrowed my eyebrows

"Oh I'm sorry the names Zach"he says

"Alex"I said

"That's my girlfriend Amanda and our friends gia Scarlett Cody and Ryan "he says Amanda had dark hair with brown eyes Cody had a blonde hair with blue eyes Ryan had light brown hair with grey eyes and Scarlett had red hair with blue eyes

"Hi"she says

"Hi"I trailed off My attention was attracted to the double doors of the cafeteria They swing open as four people enter Two guys two girls all chalky pale purplish shadows under their eyes...and all devastatingly beautiful They move through the room with effortless grace and take a seat at a table furthest from Bella's and closer to mine

"Those are The Cullens"she tells me sitting down with Zach

"Doctor and Mrs Cullen's foster kids They all moved down here from Alaska two years ago"Scarlett said everyone say down

"They kinda keep to themselves"Amanda says
