My Not So Crappy Love Life

Chapter 16

***Chris's POV***

   I wake up early because a few days ago I called a jewelry shop and asked them if they could get a golden promise ring with a small diamond in the middle and engrave the words, "Will you be my girlfriend?" in it. They said yes and it's done today so I get dressed in a white button up shirt, black pants, black dress shoes and head out. I pick up the ring and it's in a small black box. I go by a flower shop and get alot of rose petals. When I get back to the dorm Liz is still asleep which is good. I put the rose petals on the floor in the shape of a huge heart, big enough for two people to fit in, and kneel with the box in my hand. Earlier I set Lizzy's alarm clock for 7:00am. It rings right on time. Liz lazily hits snooze and she carefully lifts her head up looking for me. She looks over and sees me. She slowly get up and walks towards me. Lizzy stops in front of me and puts her hand over her mouth and I swear her eyes are watering. I look up at her and smile as I open the box, still kneeling, and give her the ring while saying, "read it." As Liz reads the ring I see a giant grin appear on her face. "Yes!" When I heard Lizzy's answer I jumped up, pulled her towards me, and kissed her inside a giant heart of flower petals. I slide the ring onto her ring finger but on her right hand. Liz means the freaking world to me,  I can't imagine life without her.

***Lizzy's POV***

    Chris is so sweet. I start crying, but tears of joy. I'm dating Chris, the one person who helped me with Tanner problems, the one who is always here for me, the one who means the world to me.
