It was always like this. Loud. Annoying. Always when those two got into a fight and Supervisor Gokuu had to take care of it. She ignored it to the best of her ability and continued to count the talismans that laid in front of her. Her task for the night before she made her final rounds and was allowed to clock out but with the way things were going outside of the office, she would probably have to stay late and help the supervisor with additional paperwork to file. The door opened and slammed closed, causing all of the organized talismans to go flying and a tick mark to appear on her forehead, although she said nothing. She sensed her supervisors chi as he passed by and sat behind his large office desk, his younger brother following closely behind and stopping in front of his desk, "He started it aniki."

"I don't care who started it Samon," he growled almost, "I'll have to write a letter of apology to the warden now because of this. Now head home, you're done for the night."

Samon frowned and crossed his arms with a pout as he walked over to his own desk and began packing up his stuff. The larger of the two brothers sighed and rubbed his forehead, finally noticing the female sitting in a darkened corner, picking up the dropped talismans with a frown stretched crossed her face. "Officer Bai, what are you still doing here?" At this Samon paused and looked to the corner where she sat.

"I was counting talismans, like you asked, but the sudden entrance spilled them. I'll have to restart, sir," she spoke quietly. Samon had to strain his ears to hear the woman but his brother seemed to have no problem hearing her.

"I see. Try not to take too long, officer, I'll be locking the office once I'm done with paperwork," Enki nodded as he turned back to his computer. The red haired woman nodded curtly and continued to pick up the thing yellow slips of paper. Samon kind of felt bad, knowing it was his fault that she was going to have to stay late but the sudden murderous tension coming from his brother made his quickly grab his things and run out of the office. Leaving Enki to do his paperwork with the woman sitting in the corner of the room by the stacks of talismans.

The sudden chiming of the clock inside the office startled the girl out of her work pace as she placed the last talisman into its draw. Now all she had left was her patrol and she could go home to Judy and sleep. "Officer Bai."

"Yes, sir," she stood at attention as she waited in front of his desk.

"Go home."

"I still have my patrol-"

"Don't worry about it. I'll have Samon cover it," Enki nodded, his eyes focused on her own dark purple ones framed with those thick rimmed black glasses.

"If you say so, sir. I'll see you tomorrow," she bowed slightly and grabbed her things, proceeding to exit the office.

"Have a good night, Song," he whispers as she had left the office.

As she arrived back to her apartment, a small black and white kitten meowed from the doorway. "Hello Judy," she smiled, bending down to pet the small creature. "Today was the same. No interactions outside the usually ya know." She continued to talk about her day to Judy as she worked on her dinner. Some noodles with mushrooms and celery thrown in. After eating dinner, she took a shower and changed into some PJ's before laying in bed and opening her book from where she had left it the night before....

There is no hope for you darling.....

Suddenly her head began to throb with an intense pain. Not this again.

You belong to me. Your body will be mine one day......my beautifully cursed mockingbird.....
