Armin flipped the page of the book on hand. On the front read ‘The Tales of the Wander’. The book was about a timid prince, who fell in love with the land’s bravest princess. It was Armin’s favourite book - he’d read it at least once every time he goes to the library. He could even recite the whole book with his eyes closed by now!

Armin laid chest-flat on the floor, grinning happily, and acting as neutral as ever he could be. But there was distraction. He just couldn’t keep his eyes still on his book, because he feels that he’s being watched from a corner.

Annie.

She had a book of her own, and she was leaning beside the book shelf, a blank expression crossed her delicate face. Her blue eyes were perfectly focused on her book, or, that’s what Armin sees when he glanced at her.

"Would you mind?" Annie spoke, not lifting her head to look at Armin. Startled, Armin turned his gaze back to his book, murmuring an apology. He started flipping the pages of his book, but he still felt as if he was being watched, or rather, stared at.

He stole another glance at Annie, and this time her eyes weren’t on the book she had on hand - they were on Armin. Their gazes met, and a visible shade of pink landed on Annie’s cheek.

Quickly, she returned her gaze onto her book, and so did he. “Sorry.” Armin apologized again to Annie, who said nothing in return.

"Stand up." a moment of silence later, Annie stood up and commanded him in doing so as well. Without further questions, he abandoned his book on the ground and did as told. Armin turned to look at Annie, who lunged at him and pushed him against the nearest wall.

"What do you want, Arlert?" her eyes stared into his, causing tension between the two. Armin felt his body trembling, but it wasn’t fear, it was something else.

"Answer." she demanded and closed in against Armin. He gave no effort in avoiding her gaze, as if he was trying his best to fight back.

"Arle-" Annie was cut off when Armin closed the hair’s breadth of a gap between them, his lips on hers. She did not protest in any way, rather, returned the favour.

After what it feels like a millennium, they broke apart, panting. Both of them had faces as red as blood, and their eyes never was apart of each another’s.

"Arlert." Annie finally said.

"You kept glancing at me first, it wasn’t my fault." Armin shrugged and smiled. "That doe-" Annie was again broke off when Armin stole another kiss from her.

"Admit it, you like it." he teased. Annie wanted to lie at that very moment. She did indeed like it. No, she loved it. She loved him.

Annie turned away and blushed furiously.

Armin stared up at her innocently, grinning happily.
"Annie. I… I love you. Since very long ago." he confessed, rubbing his nose.

Annie said nothing, instead, she took a turn in kissing him, which had him startled, but nevertheless, they enjoyed it.

Just then, out of nowhere, the librarian popped up near them, hissing.
"Quiet down, would you!"
