~ Chapter 8 ~

We all followed Venus, wondering what her news was.

She gathered us all in the Dojo and sighed.

"Hamato Youshi...and I...well...we have..." She stuttered.

We all leaned forward, waiting.

She took a deep breath. "I have seen the future. I do not have the knowledge of how far but it is grave." She said. "Hamato Youshi is worried. I had told him what I had seen and...it is not pleasant."

It seemed odd but was Venus looking at me out of the corner of her eye?

"Wait a sec," Raph said. "How can things get worse? We're already in different bodies!"

Venus fidgeted with her braided mask. "As I said before, I do not know how far into the future or even if you had switched back into yourselves. All I know is, we need to be prepared."

"Prepare for what exactly?" Becca asked.

Venus looked away. "I cannot say."

"Then how can we 'prepare' for it?" Leo asked.

Splinter came out and rested his hand on Venus's shoulder. "If Venus cannot foresee it clearly, we shall not question her predictions."

"Hai, Sensei." We all mumbled in usion.

"That's a talking rat!" Someone shrieked.

We all turned and saw Max staring at Splinter.

Bandit smiled happily. "You're awake!"

Max nodded a little. "Um also, where am I?"

"The sewers." I said.

She gulped. "And who are you?"

I frowned. "It's Nick."

"But she's Nick!" Max said and pointed at my body.

I sighed. "That's my body but not me."

Max frowned. "Huh?"

Bekka sighed. "Okay, there is this aliens called the Kraang. They shot four of us and we swapped bodies. I'm currently in my boyfriends' body and so is Nicky."

Max blinked slowly. "Erm, okay?"

Clover smiled. "She understood!"

Bekka managed a faint smile. "It's a little crazy but you'll get used to it."

"Maybe." I added.

Bekka swatted me in the plastron. "Nick!"

I smiled. "Oops?"

Bekka rolled her eyes but smiled.

Leo turned to Venus. "So is that what the big news we needed to see?"

She shook her head. "No, I would have said, 'You need to see this,' instead."

"Then what do we need to see?" Asked Leslie.

"This." Venus showed us a piece of paper. "It appeared when I was on patrol."

I grabbed the piece of paper and looked at it. "It's in Japanese."

Venus nodded. "We all know Japanese, correct?"

We all nodded except for Bandit, Max and Bekka.

"Well I know a little." Bekka admitted.

"I don't even know one word!" Max said.

I frowned. "Not even Konichiwa?"

"Except that one. Doesn't it mean hello?" She asked.
