Death was something that no one should have to fear at such a young age. Nonetheless, it appears to glide over me like a vile vulture. A vulture that's waiting for its prey to fall to their knees so that it may take something important to them. That thing that this wretched beast craved from me was the sweet red nectar of life that drips from my vain so that they can swoop in and envelop them in their wings of darkness.
Further and further did the cruel being drag my damaged body across the cold and rigid snowy floor. My skin was now covered in cuts and bruises and my vision was blurry from exhaustion and the loss of blood. What am I going to do now? Just because the barrier is open doesn't mean they will be loving to every human they lay their eyes upon. A frustrated sigh escaped my lips when I remember the harsh truth that was told to me when I was younger. Monsters. They are either blindly sweet to those they meet or they are as ruthless and as heartless as the creature that is dragging me to my inevitable doom.
Surprisingly though, fate had other plans for me. Without the slightest bit of warning, a bombardment of distorted symbols and black smoke lunged at the plant like beast as it enveloped it in its dark and foreboding grasp. The flower coughed and heaved as it struggled to be released from it's newly constructed cell.
"W-What? What is the meaning of this!?" He spoke while a few of his numerous vines thrashed about for the culprit.
"When I find you I'll make sure that you won't see the light of da-" The toxic smoke that formed around the yellow beast seemed to rise just inches from their eyes, stopping it from further complaining. In a way, it almost seemed as if the one behind all of it was trying to..shut him up. I honestly would have done the same thing if I had the chance to. It would have made the thing a lot more bearable. Speaking of that the vines painful grip upon my injured frame loosened enough for me to escape and make a run for it. I use what shrivel of strength I have left in me to make a mad dash into what seems to be a cave of some sort. I run and I run until my legs ached and my lungs burned like they were set on fire. I've escaped. I'm away from that vile flower. I'm finally free.
There are no tellings as to what horrid things could have happened to me if that thing hadn't saved me.
"What...was it anyways." That question and many like it escaped my trembling lips while I looked for a safe place to sit down and rest. I was so shaken up by all the things that happened to me then and now, what my fate could have been, that I did something that I held back since the moment I fell through that forsaken hole.
I cried.
My injured body shook while I sobbed uncontrollably at the fears that pecked its way into my mind. I was afraid. I was truly, wholeheartedly, afraid. I have been this whole time but I tried to bottle it up because I knew I wouldn't have made it this far if I let it affect me. Now the bottle is overflowing and pouring out of my eyes in the form of tears and nervous sweat. It felt like I cried for a good hour or two before my tears ran dry on my numb body. Once I had finished with my little 'moment' I finally got a good look at my surroundings. I seemed to have entered this relaxing yet surreal water like a place with glowing objects inside of it. It's blue hue brought calming sensations back into my troubled heart while I looked at the stunning land. I let out a deep sigh once I feel a wave of fatigue wash over me. "I need to rest. As mesmerizing as this place is this is most likely the only chance that I get to have a decent amount of rest." With that, I try my best to get into a comfortable position against a wall beside me and rest. Before I could drift off into a peaceful slumber a single thought echoed through my mind.
'What am I going to do now?'
˜*°•.˜"*°•°*"˜.•°*"˜I'm FINALLY OUT OF WRITERS BLOCK! HOORAY! :'DDD
I'm super duper sorry for not updating in ages. I haven't gotten the chance to write and writer's block has been a pain in the toosh. Oh and sorry for the angst it was bound to happen.
Anywho I hope you like it!
(Edit: Made a few changes to the chapter. I hope it isn't too bad.)
