Haven't you heard.

Those are the words that spew out of the mouths of every monster down here nowadays. You would think that they would stop talking about it after a week or so but oh no. They continued to talk about it to this very day.

It's been two whole months since the barrier was destroyed by the power of determination.

Now don't get me wrong I was excited at first too. Hell, I felt like this was my second chance! My chance to finally escape this sad little world I created. To discover new things and to make a name for myself. I'm sure others felt like they were free as well. That the chains in their minds had finally broken at last.

It wasn't that simple though. It's never that simple for us. On the day the barrier broke down most of the monsters' minds were clouded with the thick smoke of hope that blinded them from what is and what will happen. Blinded from the truth. The rest of the monsters that aren't so naive, such as myself, realized... that we can't just simply walk outside of our jail cells without the guards catching us in the act and trying to stop us.

To put it more simply for the minds of the pure and numbed the humans are afraid of us. Apparently, the people up there thought we would be gone. Done for. That we would cease to exist after being down here for so long but we didn't. We're still here. We are! We're still alive but I guess that was something that they just aren't prepared for mentally. King Asgore didn't want to cause another disastrous war so he decided that we should take 'baby step'. In other words, take it slow for these fucking idiotic humans so that they wouldn't have a huge trigger-happy heart attack.

I was lost in my own thoughts about all this. How the humans up there dragged us through hell and back yet we still treat them with kindness. You would think that someone, ANYONE, would have the nerve to say something about it. Make a little remark about what they had done to us. Now don't get me wrong not all humans are bad. That kid, Frisk was their name, was actually really cool. I was shocked when I saw them for the first time and I was even MORE astonished when they showed such kindness to me. Well as kind as they could get. It's just that the rest of the humans... I mean I know we're different from them and that it was something that had happened between us in the PAST but come fucking on! Do they even have a sou-

"Haven't you heard?" My deep thinking was cut short by the soft-spoken lady that stood before me.

They had already ordered their food so I was allowed to speak with them. I gave a simple 'Yeah. Yeah. I know about the barrier.' before I returned to my mixed views on the world.

'I just...'

I let out a small sigh at the thoughts that finally seemed clear up for me.

'I don't want to deal with another human for a long ass time.'

Well, apparently some mystical being heard my thoughts and decided to give me hell for it when the lady said something that made me question my existence.

"Oh, no-no-no. It's not about the barrier. Some people are saying that another human has fallen! What are the odds of that?"

Her laughter was drowned out by the numbing shock and the words that entered my mind.

'Why me?'

Gosh, I haven't updated in AGES! Sorry about that! I basically had the biggest writers' block ever then life happened.
