It was about 7:00 pm when my phone started to buzz. I was studying for my foreign history class. I patted around my bed looking for my phone. It took me awhile to find it, but when I did it was on the last ring.
I quickly answered. "Hello?"

"Hey." Hopes voice resonated through the phone, sending shivers down my spine.

"What's up, Hope," I asked, trying to be nonchalant.

"Nothing really. I was just wondering if you wanted to go get some coffee tomorrow?"

"Yeah! That would be great," I said smiling.

"Okay. Uh... where do you wanna meet?" She asked a clear smile in her voice.

"How about the Paramount Café downtown? They make a good cuppa Joe."

"Yeah. Sure. So... I'll seeyou tomorrow?"

"It's a date." She hung up after confirming the location and time. I smiled to myself and squealed with joy. I put up my books, went into the kitchen and grabbed a bag of blood from the deep freeze.

My canines enlarged and sharpened. I brought the blood filled bag up to my lips and bit into it. Cool blood seeped past my lips, sending warmth through my body.

"BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" My alarm screamed at me, telling me to get up. I rolled over and smacked the off button, stopping the noise instantly.
I was almost back to sleep, when I remembered about coffee with Hope.

I jumped out of bed and quickly got into the shower, washing the sleepiness out of my system.
After I showered, I opened my closet and debated on what to wear. I wanted to look nice but not too fancy. But I didn't want to look too casual, either. I decided on a black tank top, under a grey and black flannel, with black jeans and my favorite combat boots.

I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked good but my neck looked bare. So I grabbed a black choker with a suture like design. Satisfied, I grabbed my purse, keys, and cellphone.

I walked to my car, a 1969 Chevy Camero, a pearlescent black paint, with a Crimson sheen where the sunlight hit it right. I smiled and got in the driver's seat. I put the keys into the ignition, and turned the key. It started with a roar and died down to a deep growl. I pulled out of the apartment building parking lot and drove downtown.
