Up until this point in time, my eyes hurt whenever I tried to look at any kind of glowing screen. The day after my grandma came, it was the day of the World Series. I was kind of disappointed because I didn't think I would be able to watch it. I am a Milwaukee Brewers fan, but my grandpa was a big Cubs fan, so I wanted to watch it for him.

All through the day (whenever I wasn't sleeping) I was considering trying to watch the game. Just before the first inning started, I decided I would at least try. I turned on the TV to Fox Sports, and... there was no pain.

It was amazing, knowing that I could support my grandpa's favorite team.

At the beginning of the seventh inning, I fell asleep. The Cubs were ahead, and I was confident they would win. Boy was I wrong. I woke up 3 innings later, just before the tenth inning. I was very confused. We were winning. How could we be tied? I was terrified as I watched the final inning. Then, as if a gift from the heavens, we won.

My eyes healed just enough to watch the Cubs break their record.

The next day, two of my good friends came to see me. They came separately, but they showed up at the same time. They gave me gifts, and told me about all of the drama in our class. Apparently, ones of the kids kicked down a closet door and got 3 violations.

One of my friends seemed kind of nervous for me, and the other seemed to be trying to make me happy. I take my medical complications fairly lightheartedly, so it was interesting to see two very different views of my situation. I can't imagine how hard it must have been for them to see me like that.

After about an hour they left. I simply ate my dinner and went to bed. It was nice seeing them.
