Chapter one

" Julia , it's been two weeks and I can't help but want Gillies back....." Detective William Murdoch wrote down on a blank piece of paper , the scratched a line through it " ugh ! I do NOT want James Gillies BACK !" Murdoch said to himself angrily, after all the trouble that manipulative man had caused him and the love of his life , Julia , except those feelings for Julia had been becoming replaced by
affection for someone else...... who they had just found out had died ....... that's right, James Gillies, he and Julia had just watched Gillies hang two weeks ago and now Murdoch had been feeling quite upset

I miss you , you know that ....

We are going to have so much fun !

" yes , yes I do ." Murdoch said , silent tears running down his face , he never ever had expected to feel this way about his nemesis James Gillies " William?" Julia asked , she had been standing in the door for a while, " Julia ...... I need your help ......" Murdoch said , tears streaming down his face and onto his piece of paper " oh William! What do you need help with?" Julia asked as she rushed over to his desk and sat down beside him " you may have been wondering why I've been so off with you for the past two weeks ....... " he started , Julia nodded " it's because...... I-I'm in love with ..... Gillies...." he muttered the last part " who ? Be honest William. " Julia replied " James Gillies." Murdoch replied, Julia smiled " I figured that out a week ago. I suspected that when you were feeling guilty for his hanging. To be honest William, although he had killed, he would have been great to you , I have no doubt. " Julia remarked as she whipped away Murdoch's tears , the two of them went to work on a new case which in no time they got distracted with. A few hours later , they heard a up-roar from outside of Murdoch's office , then Inspector Brackenreid came bursting in " Murdoch , he's escaped and has been writing notes to Dr.Grace ." The inspector informed the pair " who's escaped?" Julia asked " he's alive ! He didn't die ! " the inspector said again , making Murdoch give him a questioning look " James Bloody Gillies !" Brackenreid Hollard, Murdoch and Julia looked to each other " go find him NOW ! We don't know what he can do as of now ." Brackenreid replied as he walked out of the room , Constable George Crabtree came in " I'll meet you at the Morgue sir." George said then left the room , Julia looked to Murdoch " Julia , he's alive .......come with me. " Murdoch said as he got up , Julia's hand in his and they went to the city Morgue. " hello Detective Murdoch, Dr.Ogden " Dr.Emily Grace greeted the two , Murdoch smiled as did Julia " can I see the letters Dr.Grace ?" George asked , Emily nodded and handed George the letters , he looked them over then handed them to Murdoch " nothing unusual sir." George said , Murdoch also read them over , smiling at the familiar handwriting " it's definitely his George. But where is he ?" Julia stated although she was wondering where gillies was , that was until she heard footsteps come into the doorway " ah Julia, Detective, Doctor, constable, did you miss me ?" Asked a voice, everyone looked to the door " Gillies?! " Murdoch asked, a smile crawling onto his face " Detective . Nice to see you again " gillies replied, that's when Julia handed Gillies a peice of paper , he opened it , it read :

Dear James Gillies,

I never answered your question about the 'moment ' we shared on the train bridge , yes I do ...... I never thought I'd miss you as much as I have this week , that 'moment ' changed me somehow ..... you were right about the ardor  you had for me ...... after your death I realized that I have the exact same feelings for you too ...... I wish we could have more of that 'fun ' as you called it.

Gillies broke into a grin, looked at who looked at him confused and Gillies ran to Murdoch and easily planted a semi long kiss right on the detective's lips , the familiar feeling ran through the whole room and without a word Julia and Emily looked at each other and smiled , George on the other hand was so confused and ..... scared ? " sir ! Sir ! What is going on ?!" He asked , Gillies pulled away from Murdoch although Murdoch didn't take his hands off Gillies' hands " isn't it obvious Georgie ? They're in love ! " Emily said Beaming, George looked speechless, whatever George was trying to say , wasn't getting out of his mouth, he was definitely rendered speechless.
