Chp. 4

'you're going the wrong way~'

I froze. I slowly turned around, only to see nothing. Confusion whirled within my mind, but I shrugged it off and continue trotting West until I heard it again,

'you idiot, didn't you hear me? you're going the Wrong WAY!'

I flinched, the voice booming in my ears. I didn't know who was talking to me, or where they were, but I didn't want trouble. So I asked,

     "then, w-where do I go?" my voice was mumbled since I never talk much, but I made sure it was loud enough for whoever to hear.

silence

I decided to turn around and head East, since apparently going West was Wrong. I slumped my way towards East, only to be shouted at again.

'dear god, DO YOU NOT KNOW WHERE TO GO!!?!'

I jumped and fell face first. I need to stop leaning forward because that just ends up with me eating grass. I groaned as I felt more pain shoot though my body. I slowly sat up and looked around. I was scared and confused, for multiple reasons that aren't important at the moment. I got up before asking,

     "then.... where do I go?" My voice was quiet, but the voice somehow heard me and spoke anyway,

'.... and I though we were the same person....'

     ".... wha-"

'Just go North'

     "B-but what di-"

'I said gO NORTH!'

I jumped again, falling once more. That really needs to stop. I shook it off and got up, looking at the sun for North before heading that way. I don't know what just happened, but something in me knew that this was the way to go.

After hours of walking, I saw something unusual. A town, just miles from here. It looked empty but I started to run that way. My legs hurt from walking and falling, but I needed to talk to somebody. Once I made it there I looked around, panting heavily trying to catch my breath.

The town looked empty. Almost as if the people who built it then just left it. Nothing looked ruined, messed up or out of place. I frowned before limping over to a Carousel. I saw a small control panel and walked over to it. There were a lot of buttons in many shapes and colours. I sighed and leaned on the panel, not caring if I pressed any buttons. My legs were sore and I needed a rest.

However, once I leaned on it a small *beep* was heard and the ground began to rumble. I jumped back in surprised and watched as the carousel was replaced with a large door, with an elevator inside. I stared at it before walking towards it. Once I walked inside I heard a weird noise and turned around, only to see nothing.

I pressed a button in the weird elevator and watched as the door shut on me, making the small space dark.

But I didn't realize that I wasn't alone
