Your village was peaceful. Your people were peaceful. Your life was peaceful. Your village sat in a surprisingly non-violent part of Hyrule. It was miles away from the castle and no monsters had ever paid you a visit.

You lived in a small house with your grandmother. Your parents died when you were younger so you were sent here to live out a peaceful life.

So the village had its share of luck when it came to no violence, but luck runs out.

A few weeks ago, a group of bokoblins decided to set up tent right next door to your village. Taking immediate attention to your village, they started an attack.

You see, no one in your village knows how to fight. So when a bunch of bokoblins started attacking, it was utter chaos.

Honestly, that day you thought you were going to die. During the attack, you put your grandmother in your basement and you started locking all the doors and windows. As you were about to lock the last window, you were face to face with probably the cutest boy you had ever seen.

The boy had dirty blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail and his eyes were a piercing blue. He wore a dark blue cloak, a light blue tunic with white patterns on it, and a pair of white pants and brown boots.

Knowing you needed to keeping locking up the house, you broke eye contact with the boy and went to shut the window, but he stopped you.

"What are you doing?!" You had asked him with panic in your voice. "I have to lock the windows or else I'll die!"

The boy shook his head. "I don't think that'll stop them. Just go inside and hide, I'll take care of this."

The boy took off running and drew a giant sword from his back. You watched him take down a bokoblin and decided he could handle himself before going down into the basement with your grandmother and hiding.

~

As you hid in the basement, you could still hear the screams of the bokoblins and the villagers who hadn't figured out they had to hide. Then suddenly, the screams stopped.

You stayed there for a few seconds, listening. You decided it was time to leave. You took your grandmother's hand and you both climbed out of the basement.

You walked out of the door of your house to find that half of the village had fallen apart! Carriages had been smashed to pieces and broken boxes littered the road along with the objects once inside them. To make it worse, some of the wooden debris was actually on fire!

You started to pick up some of the debris around your house when the boy from before came walking up to you. You sat up straight, holding an arm full of debris in your arms.

"Were you the one who saved us?" You asked the boy.

The boy nodded, eyeing the debris in your hands.

You smiled brightly and bowed your head. "Thank you such!"

"No problem" the boy said, still staring at the debris. "Are you ever gonna use that?"

You tilted your head in confusion. "Ever use what?"

The boy pointed at the debris in your arms. "That bokoblin gut. Are you ever gonna use it?"

You've reached the end of published parts.
