Rain, rain, don't go away

Gareki's P.O.V
I walked through the halls of the main ship trying to avoid any contact with the person I really don't want to see today, yogi. I could hear the soft pitter patter of rain drops hitting the ship as I move making as little noise as humanly possible. Aiming toward the room I shared with my boyfriend who is none other than Nai. Even though he is basically half niji I still love him and would protect him with my life.

As I reach the hall where my shared room is I hear a loud crack of lightning followed by heavier rain and the rumble of thunder. Slowly, I turn the doorknob leading into our room. I walk in and close the door taking off my jacket and shoes. "Nai?" I call his name but he is no where in sight. Lightning cracks again and I hear a soft whimper from the top of the bunk beds we share. I climb up the ladder and see a small lump surrounded by blankets. I slowly remove the blankets to see Nai curled up covering his ears. He looks like he could cry at any second. I pull him into my lap and that seems to have startled him. He looks up at me with teary eyes and grasps my shirt in both his fists. My heart wrenches and I lean over to my pillow to pull out earplugs from under it along with an MP3 player. I pop the earplugs in his ears and start playing music loud enough to block all other sounds out. (All I imagine when writing that part is Nai's horrified face when his ears are blasted with depressing music and curse words. XD)

He let's go of my shirt and shifts in my lap so he is facing me. All traces of tears and sadness gone replaced with pure happiness. I lean down and peck his lips wrapping my arms around his torso. He wraps his arms around my neck and returns my kiss. "I love you Gareki!" Nai beams at me in his usual cute and innocent way making me smile too. "I love you too Nai." And with that we layed down and dozed off still in each others embrace not even realizing the storm had passed leaving a bright yellow sky and setting sun.
