14, pregnant and rejected.

Chapter 7

I had no other choice but to walk there. I didnt want to ring because i didnt want to give him the option to object which is probably something he'd do; even though I did give it some consideration as Jake was old enough to drive and could come pick me up. He was 17 years old, about to turn 18 which is yet another reason that this baby could ruin my life... he could be sent to jail and I don't know what I'd do without him.

My head didnt stop spinning all the way to his house, making the 40 minute walk go by in a flash. I didnt even notice the little jack Russel that I always stop and pet on this route.

I trudged up the porch stairs and reached the door to his house. Hopefully, his parents weren't home as they usually are because i dont gave the energy to deal with them all at once. I contemplated my decision once more, but eventually knocked loudly on the door.

*Knock knock knock*

It was a long time before I detected any movement inside. Jake was always too lazy to answer the door and had a theory that they would go away if he didnt answer within 30 seconds, but this was the longest he'd ever taken. Regardless, was going nowhere.

"Uhhh...Nance! Wh-what are you doing here?"
Jake shouted nervously. Why was he shouting?

"I need to talk to y-"

And that's when i saw... her, trying to sneak out, clutching a large pile of clothes in both of her hands.

"DESTINY? WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" I screamed and she froze in her tracks.

Jake interrupted, "Nance, this is not what it looks like, honestly! I was just... we were just.." He tried his hardest to think of an excuse that would justify what I was seeing, but came up with nothing.

"Nancy, I was just getting some old clothes i gave to Jake's sister a few months ago." Nancy interrupted. And that's when I knew they were lying and my fears were confirmed.

"Jake doesn't have a sister Destiny, stop playing games and making excuses for your disgusting behaviour. I can't believe you'd do this to me. And that explains why you were hinting that he was not a good boyfriend in the car when i got a pregnancy test and thats why you were talking to the nurse. YOU WERE JEALOUS! How long has this been going on for?" It all made sense now.

She stayed silent and a look of horror spread across Jake's face.

"Woah woah woah woah...woah. What pregnancy test?!" Oh god. I forgot that Jake didn't know yet.

"Oh the hell with it. I might as well just blurt it out now. I'm pregnant Jake. And you're the father."

He dropped to his knees, just as i did when i found out. His head dropped in his hands and he let out a muffled whimper. Why is he crying? I should be the one crying. the anger running through me at this moment in time is unreal. I cant control myself any longer.

"This is not over, Destiny." I warned before bolting out of the door.

Running away, I could hear her profuse apologies that I rightly chose to ignore. I couldn't be around either of them right now or i would do something that i will regret.

Floods of tears streamed down my face, clouding my vision of the darkness. I had absolutely nowhere to go. Nowhere.
