[Song: Dance Dance by Fall Out Boy]
×Fun fact: I can play this song on bass×
Max went straight home after the bathroom incident. He didn't care what his mom would say, he couldn't stay at school any longer.
As soon as he got inside the house, he ignored his mom asking why he was home early and ran up to his room so he could lock away the rest of the world. His phone was going off almost constantly but he didn't care, he'd break the damn thing if he hadn't just gotten it.
After a few more minutes of the phone's annoying sound, Max finally turned it off. He wanted to be alone completely.
Max sighed and laid down on his bed. Within seconds of his head hitting the pillow, he was asleep.

A loud knock on his bedroom door awoke Max on the next day. Max tried to pull his blanket over his head and ignore the noise but it didn't help.
"What the fuck do you want?" Max groaned as he got out of bed and made his way to the door.
"That's not how you talk to your mother," Max's mom said, acknowledging her son's appalling language.
Max opened the door with a sigh, "maybe if I actually talked to her I'd talk better. Maybe you can tell me who she is."
"Ha ha you're so funny, Max," she rolled her eyes, which were notably coated with makeup. "Anyway, I'm going out soon and your friend is here."
"What friend?" Max asked, his mind instantly jumping to the conclusion that maybe Ian came and wanted to apologize and even confess.
"Uh Goji?" Max's mom guessed.
"It's Joji," Max said with an eye roll.
"Right."
Max sighed and went down to greet Joji, who was waiting patiently in the living room.
"What's up?" Max greeted.
"It's time to get ready for the party," Joji told Max, who had forgotten entirely about the party. "You forgot, didn't you?"
"Of course not," Max lied pathetically.
"Sure you didn't, that's why you're still in your clothes from yesterday and your hair looks like a nest for animals not yet known to man," Joji joked sarcastically.
"Okay I may have forgotten," Max rolled his eyes. "But it doesn't take long for me to get ready."
"Bullshit," Joji laughed. "Your hair only takes at least half an hour to brush."
Max just shrugged and went towards his room. Joji followed. Max lazily got ready, not caring as much about his appearance as he normally would. Joji took notice but decided not to comment.
"Isn't it a bit early for a party?" Max asked as he looked out the window, seeing the sun still fairly high in the sky.
"I wanted to make sure you had enough time to get ready," Joji responded. "And I wanted to grab something to eat before going to the party and figured you would too."
"I'm not really hungry," Max said, still looking out the window.
"When was the last time you properly ate?" Joji asked.
"Properly?" Max laughed. "I just snack on shit most of the time, not like I can cook."
"I'm serious Max, when was the last time you ate?"
Max thought for a second then frowned, "when Ian was here we ate cereal."
"Max, that's like four days ago," Joji sighed. "You're going to eat something."
"Fine," Max sighed with an eye roll.

After eating at a fast food restaurant, Max and Joji made their way to the party. When they got there, it was just beginning to get dark and there was already a lot of people at the house.
The loud music could he heard from the street, most likely irritating the surrounding neighbors. There were cars parked up and down the street, some in ways that would make you question the drivers sobriety.
The two boys walked to the door of the house and went inside. Joji said he was going to meet up with some girl while Max went off to find the alcohol.
Max found the drinks quickly and poured himself one. As he started to drink down the liquid poison, a voice surprised him.
"Y'know you drink a lot nowadays."
Max nearly spit out his drink at the sound of the voice. He turned and looked at the owner of the voice. Ian, who appeared to be slightly drunk.
"What are you doing here?" Max asked, looking down into his drink.
"Came to see ya, princess," Ian slurred.
"You're fucking drunk," Max scoffed. "Leave me alone."
Max set his cup down, not caring much about it and started to walk away. A strong grip squeezing his ass, caused Max to stop and quickly turn around. Ian was standing smirking.
"Quit it, stop giving me false hope," Max said.
Ian put his hands on Max's shoulders and looked him in the eyes, "do you even realise how bad I want you?"
"Ia-" Max was cut off by Ian pushing him against the wall and kissing him. Max instantly melted into the kiss. He wanted this for so long and now here it was.
Why didn't it feel right?
Max pulled away. "Ian stop, you're drunk. You don't mean any of this."
Ian shook his head, "come on, Max. Don't you want this?"
"Of course I do," Max replied. "But I want sober Ian. I want everything to be real."
"Max," Ian started, once again looking Max in the eyes. "I'm barely even drunk, okay? Let's just do what we want and not give a fuck for one night."
Max moved away from Ian. Ian looked down and sighed sadly. Max grabbed his cup from before and chugged the whole thing. He walked back over to Ian, grabbed his face and pulled him into a powerful kiss.
Pulling back slowly and resting his forehead against the other's, Max spoke quietly, "We can do this if you promise me something."
"Anything," Ian responded.
"Promise me you won't regret this tomorrow."
"I promise."
