A Week Later

~~~~~
You looked at your watch as you approached the coffee shop. It was only the first week of classes and you ready felt like you hadn't slept in weeks. You had 20 minutes to get to your class across campus and if you just got drip then you would be able to get the perfect seat. Not too close to the front. But not too far in the back.
You ordered your coffee, not bothering to try to put any soy milk in it, and walked out of the door. But instead of being greeted by the afternoon sun, you slammed into what felt like a brick wall disguised as a human. Your coffee went flying, but not before spilling down your clean white shirt.
"I am so sorry Y/N!" you heard an apologetic voice yell out. You looked up to meet the eyes of the person responsible. Your knees buckling slightly once your brain registered who it was. Jungkook's face was covered with regret, a slight pink tinge to his cheeks as he awkwardly stood in front of you. He mumbled, "I really need to pay attention to where I'm going"
You bent down to pick the now empty cup off the ground, "It's my fault. I'm running late for class" Your eyes widened as you realized what you had said. "What time is it?" you asked, even though your hand was already reaching towards Jungkook's wrist.
The time read 1:20 PM. You had 10 minutes. If you walked at the speed of those women at the mall, you should be able to make it to class on time. But as you collected your things back in your bag you remembered that your white shirt was no longer white.
"I can't go to class like this" you groaned as you tried to decide what the best course of action would be.
"Take my sweatshirt" Jungkook suggested as he started pulling the grey material off his chest.
"You really don't hav-" your words were cut off by the flash of his well defined stomach. And you soon realized why it hurt so much to bump into him. He was as built as he looked the first day you met him.
"It's the least I can do" he insisted as he shoved the light grey material in your hands.
"Thanks" you murmured, trying to keep it together as you slipped the fabric over your head. The smell of spice and soap filled your lungs and it took everything in you to not breathe in the material like a freshly washed towel in a laundry detergent commercial. You hoisted your backpack on your shoulder, "I should probably go if I don't want anything docked off my grade"
"I can drive you, we're going to the same place." You stared at him with a confused look on his face. "We're in the same microbiology class."
"What?" You asked dumbfounded, "How come I haven't seen you doing lecture?"
Jungkook shrugged as he lead the way to his car, "You're one of the nerdy ones who sit in the front." He reached out and ruffled your hair, knowing that he must have struck a chord, "Come on, we'll be late and we both don't want your perfect grade to go down a half a point."
"Whatever." You mumbled, trying to not let him see you pout. In the back of your mind you could see Hoseok rolling his eyes at the entire thing. But you tried to shove his face to the back of your mind as quickly as it came forward.
But as you stepped out of the car you panicked. Yoongi was in this class with you. If he saw you walk in with Jungkook you knew he would tell Hoseok immediately. The two of them were partners in crime and Yoongi loved nothing more than telling on you to your roommate. You shifted your heavy backpack on your shoulder, unsure if you should follow him.
"Are you okay?" He asked, turning around to look at you as soon as your feet stopped moving on the pavement.
You nodded as a pink hue spread across your face. "I'm, uh, just going to go to uh tie my shoes" You pointed down at your feet, a barely untied lace was the only excuse you could think of on the spot. You were a terrible liar, but you hoped that Jungkook couldn't tell.
Jungkook laughed, realizing that you had probably just been caught, but he didn't question you any further. "I'll see you inside." He told you as he ruffled your hair, leaving you alone to "tie" your shoes.
Everyone in the lecture hall turned to stare at you as your burst through the door. "Nice to see you join us, Y/N" you professor called out as you tucked your hair behind your reddened ears and made your way to your seat.
Yoongi raised an eyebrow as you sat down next to him. His eyes flickering towards Jungkook and back to you. He had figured it out. "Nice sweatshirt. I didn't know you and Jungkook were friends." he teased. You looked down and you did look like a mess. You had greatly overestimated much taller Jungkook was than you. You were drowning in the fabric, having to roll the sleeves at least 3 times before you were able to use your hands properly.
"Shut up" you quipped as you tried to focus on the lecture.
You tried your hardest to not find him in the room. You didn't want to know where he was sitting. You didn't want to know anything about him you tried to tell yourself. He was just a cute boy with a cute smile. You didn't know anything about him, but yet your heart still skipped a beat every time you thought about him.
Hoseok's voice was ringing in your ears, telling you that you were being impractical. Jungkook was the first guy since you broke up with Kihyun that didn't make you want to slam your head on the table. But that didn't mean the two of you were going to ride off in the sunset together. You didn't even know his last name. You weren't about to let your teenage hormones get in the way of what was going to be one of your most important academic years as your admission to medical school would be determined by your test results in the spring.
So as soon as the professor announced that class was over, you shoved everything in your bag and ran out the door. You didn't look back to see if it was Yoongi or Jungkook who had called after you.
