Prologue

Amorah & Pandora

               “Mommy, I don’t wanna go to bed.” A young Amorah complains. Her curly brown-red hair is tied into a ponytail and she is wearing a pink nightgown. “Yeah. We’re not tired.” Her twin sister Pandora exclaims. “Girls, you know its bedtime.” Their step-mom, Briar, says. Pandora pouts and sticks out her bottom lip. “Can you read us a story?” Amorah compromises. “Okay. Now go upstairs.” Briar says and pulls up Pandora’s brown hair. The two young girls quickly scramble upstairs and into their bed room. “We should read this.” Amorah says and holds up ‘Curiosity Killed The Cat - A Fairytale. “No, this.” Pandora says and holds up her favorite book ‘Pandora’s Box’. The girls then start to argue. All of a sudden a scream pierces through the house. Pandora and Amorah run down stairs only to find a horrifying sight. Their parents are lying dead on the floor. Above them is a death eater.

Elizabeth & Alec

               It is a hot summer day and Elizabeth is standing outside waiting for her cousins, Amorah and Pandora, to come. “Are they here yet?” Her twin brother, Alec, whines. “How am I supposed to know?” She grumbles. After ten minutes of waiting their mom’s car pulls into the drive way. Elizabeth and Alec watch as a girl steps out. Another soon follows. “Children this is Pandora and Amorah.” Her mom says pointing to each. Pandora has long brown hair and brown eyes. Amorah has red-brown hair and greenish blue eyes. For twins, they look completely different. “They will be living with us.”

Azula

               Today is a big day for Azula. Today is the day her letter for Hogwarts will be coming. Azula is sitting by the mailbox patiently waiting when her four best friends run up. Elizabeth, Amorah, Pandora, and Alec. Azula stares at them curiously as they catch their breath. “Azula, we ran away from Camp Half-Blood. Alec and Elizabeth helped us. Do you want to come?” Pandora hurriedly explains. Azula looks over at the mailbox where her letter will be any minute. Then she looks over at her friends. She then decides that they are more important. “I’m coming.” She says, and they run off.

Venous

               Two years. That is how long Venous (a daughter of Aphrodite) and the others have been running. Running from monsters, death eaters, gods, and … HIM. Right now she and Alec are setting up the tent they use to camp out in. Sure it was small but they didn’t mind. It was better than nothing. As they are setting up a loud growl comes from the forest. Before they have time to draw their weapons a hellhound leaps out of the forest and onto Alec. Venous immediately takes out her sword and kills the hellhound. It bursts into golden dust and she rushes over to a lightly wounded Alec. “Venous! Alec! We heard the noise. What’s going on?” Amorah asks as she emerges through the trees. But she stops short. “What?” Venous asks. Elizabeth shakily points to something behind Venous. Venous spins around to see a giant. He has long dreadlocks and a hideous face. “Mmm lunch.” The giant bellows and grabs Venous. “No!” Azula shouts and attacks the giant. The others join but there is nothing they can do.  Venous screams as the giant shoves her into his mouth. The last thing she feels is pain before she slips into black.
