I'd always wonder if things happened for a reason. Like, for when you stub your toe on the corner of a table. I'd always wonder if it was because I had done something bad, and karma was just coming back at me. In many instances, I'd thought that being the over-thinker I am. My mother would sometimes tell me I was crazy, and that karma didn't exist. But still, that didn't stop my wild imagination from the what ifs.
I had gotten an unlikely invitation from the University of my dreams up in Sydney. It was the most prestigious of schools. It had a medical program that people would kill to be in, I included. But it only accepted a handful of people each school year. Shocked at the invitation, I immediately booked a plane ticket to head down there.
From heartaches, migraines, and experiences that had changed my whole perspective on life. My life had changed immensely once I had decided to book that ticket and set foot on that plane.
But, as crazy as that sounds. I'm kind of glad I did so.
