Beth -

I was waiting in the McDonald's line whilst Megan found a table. I had to get Megan a sweet chilli chicken wrap and a diet coke. Megan was always worrying about her weight. She never wanted to eat anything unhealthy until we became friends. At one point she nearly became anorexia. It scared me how skinny she got. However, since she got out more and she made new friends, she started putting the weight back on. I carried the tray holding our food on. I was walking around trying to look for were Megan had decided to sit. I stopped in the middle of the food court, searching for Megan. As I turned around, I bumped into a boy who was pushed by his mates, making me spill the tray of food and drink all down me. I looked at the mess that had been created on my top, then to the boy who knocked the tray out of my hands. Matt. He stood there, mouth open, starring at me. I felt thousands of pairs of eyes looking at me. The whole food court had fallen silent. I felt my cheeks burn in embarrassment. I awkwardly brushed chips and chicken pieces off me, still feeling the eyes on me.

"I'm so sorry," Matt finally said, helping pick the food off the ground. Luckily, a cleaner came rushing over, wiping the floor with a mop. She signaled me to go, so I ignored Matt and walked over to Megan who I had finally seen. Matt followed me.

"Seriously, I didn't even mean to do that. I-I got pushed," Matt stuttered. "I can buy you a new top if you like!" He offered. I turned around facing him. I had to look up since Matt was at least a foot taller then me.

"Can you just leave me alone... please," I snapped. He looked at me, shocked. His eyes shone, making my heart melt.

"Well, no. Not not I know I've done this to you," Matt said, following me. Megan pulled a sad face to me and stepped in front of me.

"You can buy her a new top since you've ruined this one," Megan interrupted. Her tone of voice made people feel as if they shouldn't argue. Matt simply nodded his head.

"Topshop, we go," Megan order, signaling everyone to follow her. And we did. Me, Matt, Josh, Zack and Ollie all followed Megan to Topshop. No one spoke. Except the boys to themselves.

"Megan, I don't think this is ne-" I started, but stopped by Megan 'shhing' me. It took a while for Megan to choose a top, but when she did, she made sure the price wasn't cheap.

"Bit expensive for a top!?" Matt questioned. All Megan did was raise her eyebrows at him to change his opinion. Matt carried the top to the counter where he paid for it. He gave me the bag and smiled.

"Sorry for ruining you top," Matt apologized once again. "To be honest, I think you look better with ketchup and coke all down you," He joked. I gave him a gently shove, laughing quietly. I walked back over to Megan who had Zack all over her. I pulled at Megan's hair and waved goodbye to the boys.

"Can we go toilets so I can change?" I asked, holding the bags with my new clothes in. Megan nodded.

Luckily, the toilets were empty. So instead of going into a cubicle, I quickly stripped there and then. The top was really cute. It was turquoise green with the outline of lips on it. I was slightly big, which was what I liked. Megan quickly searched her bag, giving me a beaded necklace she had taken off whilst buying our dresses. I put it on to finish the outfit. We both smiled and walked out arm in arm. We was greeted to Matt and his friends.

"I couldn't let you go without getting your number," Matt said, smiling.

"I have a boyfriend," I replied, pulling Megan away. Matt followed.

"And that means what? You can't have any boy mates?" Matt nagged. He had his phone in his hand ready for my number to be read out.

"Nope," I replied. I took Megan down the escalator to get away from the boys. I looked up to see Matt and his friends following us down the escalator. I sighed. Once we were off the stairs, I dragged Megan to the bus stop to catch the bus that was about to leave. Luckily, it was our bus to get home.

"Sorry, we don't want to miss our bus," I shouted back to the boys who were about fifty meters away from us. We brought our bus tickets and sat down at the nearest seats. The bus left. I let out a big breath.

'Why did you do that?" Megan asked.

"I didn't want his number," I shrugged, watching the boys run towards the bus stop.
