Matt -
"You like her," Zack teased, pushing me slightly. I shoved him back, more violently. He slipped on a crisp packet which was on the floor and fell into a bush. I instantly fell to the floor in laughter. I was unable to watch Zack stand back up because I was on the floor with my head bowed.
"Stop trying to change the subject. You're just not admitting it because you know it's true," Zack huffed, brushing the dirt off his clothes. I slowly began to control myself, standing up again. I decided to not reply to his question, walking ahead. "You so like her," Zack shouted back. I stopped and waited for him to catch up.
"Yeah, so what. I like her. But, she has a boyfriend," I confessed, bowing my head at the thought of never being able to have Beth for my own.
"That's never stopped you before," Zack pointed out, patting me on the back. I placed my hands in my pockets, letting the thousands of thoughts run around in my mind. All I could think off was the moment that our lips almost touched. I could feel her body heat clashing with mine as we laid in the sand. We were so close. There was a part of me that doesn't want her to cheat on him with me, but then there is another part of me that doesn't care and I would rather their relationship being destroyed just to have Beth. Which is wrong. "Why don't you meet up with her after school today?" Zack interrupted my thoughts. I nodded my head silently.

"Beth!" I called, watching her walk out of her school gates. She turned around, her hair rippling in the wind. She whispered something to the girls she was with and ran towards me.
"What the hell are you doing here? And how do you know what school I go to?" Beth questioned, looking around suspiciously.
"Megan told me, and I wanted to apologize for the other day. I shouldn't have put you in the place I did," I began, placing my hand on her arm. She slowly moved away as if I was some sort of disease.
"Matt, it's fine. Don't worry about it," Beth said, looking around frantically.
"Are you okay? Who are you looking for?" I asked, mimicking her moves. She didn't reply until a black range rover pulled up next to us. I looked in and saw a dark haired, blue eyed boy. He look tall and buff.
"Hey, George. One sec," Beth called, holding her finger up. She turned back to me and smiled.
"Who's that?" I asked, raising my eyebrow at him. I looked back into the car and saw the boy putting sunglasses on, even though the sun wasn't present. He then began to check himself out in the mirror, pulling faces into the mirrors. I snorted through my nose, trying not to laugh.
"Shh," Beth giggled, pushing at my chest. "That's George, my boyfriend," She whispered. I raised both eyebrows.
"Wow," I started, looking back into the car, but getting pushed away by Beth. "I mean, he seems nice. And he is very good looking, like in a posh, zac-efron-wannabe. Yeah I can see it," I joked. Beth pulled her hand up to her mouth, trying to stop herself from laughing.
"Shut up," Beth whispered under laughter. We both stood on the pavement, just looking at each other. We were interrupted by George getting irritated. Beth smiled.
"I'll text you tonight," I ended, waving as Beth climbed into the flashy car. She nodded and waved back, before George drove them both off down the road.
